Week 1: Daniels is trash. Cannot make the reads, waits too long to throw. Receivers prefer Nussmeier....he throws lasers. Just an average QB who likes to run.


Week 12: Daniels is God. Easily works his progressions. Finds the open receivers. Dropping dimes on his receivers. Give him the Heisman already.

He's up there with Burrow. Different type of player. Same arm, but better legs....and Burrow could run .

So you're saying that Kelly getting Daniels to come to LSU, coaching him up, along with the staff that Kelly hired, and turning him into a Heisman candidate is all luck? I wish you were our coach.

Who went out and got JD and surrounded him with the coaches who aided in his development?

Last year we were talking about how great it was to have a well spoken, experienced CEO type coach, unlike O & Les, who exceeded all our expectations.

This year Kelly is a dumbass who was saved only because he got lucky and recruited a Heisman worthy QB.

You could say the same about plenty of coaches. And it wasn’t some lucky accident. Kelly didn’t inherit Daniels here. It seemed pretty clear that he was the one who focused on getting Daniels here when he hit the portal.

Yes, JD5 gave Kelly the QB he needed to hit the ground running. But in that same breath, you have to give CBK credit for his development into what he is today. JD5 goes undrafted if he never comes to LSU.

Yeah, it’s as if the offensive staff that developed Daniels just created itself. And let’s not forget the fact that what O left us on the offensive line was set up to be as bad as this defense last year. Completely rebuilt and now a strength of the offense in only two seasons.

Do any of you think Daniels has this season without Denbrock and Sloan and this improved O Line?

BK took over a literal dumpster fire with a bare cupboard. He hires almost all new staff... Including Frank Wilson, he gets JD5 to transfer over, loads up great recruiting classes, we look to be on our way to a 2nd 10 win season more than likely, have won the SEC West the first year here along with beating Bama his first year, and some of you people act like he can't coach or make good decisions, jeezzus

Sure Matt House hasn't worked out and you missed on a couple portal transfers.

But he's done a pretty damn good job. And you people wanna compare him to Jimbo Fisher or hope he had the same fate

I think you have this 100% assbackwards. Kelly has saved JD5 from the scrapheap of also-rans. Kelly is the architect and Sloan and Denbrock are the contractors of the meteoric rise of JD5 from marginal pro prospect to the best player in college football and ultimately a high draft pick. They unlocked the potential in JD5 and you are in the process of witnessing same.
