The more I see and hear from this guy, the less attractive he gets. He is a colossal douche (much in the mold of Tom Herman). Maybe he can coach better than Herman, maybe not. His sample size at this level is way too small to prove one way or the other.

It should be noted, it takes a lot less time to prove you’re a douche than it does to prove you’re a Good coach.

Looking like one of (in order of likelihood):

Godwin
Johnson
Vitello
O’Connor
McDonnell

All are exceptional coaches, and each is a HR hire. McDonnell stands above the rest IMHO.

Any of these coaches takes us to a CWS in the next few years.

For me personally, he would be #3 on my list of realistic candidates. (1) McDonnell (2) Vitello (3) Cliff Godwin
