Why didnt Steve e tear it up with joe in 2018 then?
Because SE was running a dinosaur offense, one Burrow was not accustomed to operating, and the WR targets were not open and the run and passing game was too predictable. Totally different than what he ran with Brady in 2019.

Another poster posted the stats, and it clearly shows Brady made the difference.
Remember, in 2018, E had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and most of the OL. The talent was all there - but E's 2018 offense was pedestrian.
Only in 2019, when Brady came, did that talent thrive.
The difference was Brady. Sorry, but it's just true.
Brady def made a huge difference, no one is disputing that. Steve ensminger had a big hand in the offense.
People love to point to 2018 and say well why didn't ensminger do the same in 2019.
The players that played in 2019 didn't play the same amount of snaps. They got much better over that year. Chase was a true freshman.

Burrow was the difference in 2019. Brady made some adjustments but if we doubt have Burrow in 2019 we don’t win shite.
My point was that in 2018 we already had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Helaire, and the OL. But it was under E's poor offense.
When Brady came in, his offense allowed that massive talent to flourish.

Bridge water first takes personal responsibility. Then goes on to throw someone under the bus. Hmmmm

Why didn’t Ensminger to anywhere close to the same in 2018.
We’re talking about the difference between 16 and 60 TDS.
3 or 20 for Chase.

Marshall was still rehabbing his leg injury that ended his HS career and Burrow didn't set foot on campus until late summer.
2018 the team ranked near the bottom of the SEC and NCAA in returning production. 2019 we were near the top. 2020 we were back near the bottom. That makes a huge difference. 2020 we had 3 different QBs take their first starting snaps, Chase opted out before the season and Gilbert and Marshall opted out mid season. The OL was poor and RBs were injured.
Injuries and inexperience make a significant difference. Look at the 2019 D under Aranda. They took 3/4 of a season to get experienced and healthy before they played championship level defense.

I should have worded it differently. His first practice for LSU was August 4th, 2018.

Just look at how many plays Burrow made by improvising..... when nothing was there HE made something happen....
He did but someone has to get open and catch the ball.
Most broken plays, Jefferson, Chase, and Marshall were open or would catch most contested receptions.

Sour grapes that he’ll never put up numbers like he did with Brady again. Also a sad realization that Sam Darnold is an upgrade from you.

If you have to hire someone to do a job you can’t do and they suck you don’t get to use that as an excuse.

They'd been playing together for 4 months or less.

Seems to me that may be b/c he treats the entire game as a two minute drill and has no special regard for red zone defense.
Brady is pretty aggressive.
Exactly, how many games did Joe score 2 minutes or less before the half

I’d have to check to be 100% sure but I’m pretty sure the answer is 16 or ALL OF EM!!
I remember scoring 3x’s on Bama’s shite defense @ BDS in the last 2 mins (maybe 2 1/2?)!
2019 was delicious ?? ?? !
