I wasn’t expecting to hear that. Wasn’t that his main area at LSU?

Seems to me that may be b/c he treats the entire game as a two minute drill and has no special regard for red zone defense.
Brady is pretty aggressive.

Guess when you got Joe Burrow as your QB what's the point? Bridgewater aint no joe burrow. Burrow was like a coach on the field. He could read the defense and usually hit the open man.

Maybe he never got that far in the playbook in Carolina because had a worse QB and worse receivers than he did at LSU

It's crazy to think about, but 2019 LSU easily had better offensive skill players than the Panthers.

I think a few teams in the NFL would love to have Burrow, Chase, Marshall, Jefferson, and CEH as their starters

We'll we didn't really send a lot of time in the red zone. So I guess he was right.

Well Teddy, you got to get to the redzone first.

E was criminally under-appreciated here. He did a lot more than some people think. The notion that Joe Brady was the true OC and E sat back and ate ho-ho’s all year is way off.

RZ TD% by year

2020 53% (104th Nationally)
2019 78.7% (4th Nationally)
2018 51.67% (116th Nationally)

Say what you want about E, he was not a good Red Zone play caller/play designer. He is in no way under appreciated in this respect.

Not great on 3rd downs either:

2020 34.6% (102nd Nationally)
2019 49.7% (4th Nationally)
2018 40% (57th Nationally)

Not even sure we had all that many red zone TD's. Most seemed like they were well outside the 20.

this is flat-out false.

Another poster posted the stats, and it clearly shows Brady made the difference.

Remember, in 2018, E had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and most of the OL. The talent was all there - but E's 2018 offense was pedestrian.

Only in 2019, when Brady came, did that talent thrive.

The difference was Brady. Sorry, but it's just true.

Anyone else read that as Brad Bridgwater and "John" Brady? I was thinking "what the hell would John Brady practice Red Zone and 2 minute drill for basketball"?

Sorry, I've been needing to get readers for a few years now and I'm stubborn.
