This was where E struggled the most imo. He never seemed to have that special play in his pocket that was gonna pick up a critical 1st down or a have a creative play ready to go in the red zone. Between the 20s he was fine, but in those crucial spots he just never was able to consistently beat the defense.

Maybe, or it was because he didn’t have the most talented offense in the history of college football.

Joe Brady isn’t the head coach, just an FYI

2018 we had CEH, Jefferson, Chase, Marshall, Moreau, Dillon and Sullivan.

E complained at the end of the year that our red zone offense was bad because we didn’t have enough fullbacks.

Talent was there.

It was there this year.

The playcalling was not

LOL. I'm not claiming that E was fantastic, but those stats are nearly meaningless given different the circumstances of those seasons.

How are they meaningless?

Say what you want about E, he was not a good Red Zone play caller

Now tell us how much time the starting QB practiced Red Zone offense in Spring Practice 2018 and 2020.
I believe the correct answer is zero.

We didn’t have any special disadvantages in 2020 and we were 104th in the country.

That’s an excuse and a lame one at that.

Let me ask you, did we get better in the Redzone as 2018 went one?

If it was lack of practice time clearly we would have gotten better.

Or did we score 0 TD in 5 RZ attempts vs UCF in the fricking BOWL GAME.

Next excuse: well we had freshmen in 2020

The offense was 6/11 in the Redzone under Brennan before he got hurt.

Definitely doesn't sound like Terry Bridgewater is lying here. I mean, he gave a pretty detailed rundown of how the team practiced especially on Friday and Saturday. Most teams devote a day of practice to the 2-minute, and the Panthers chose to do it differently. I don't think it's a rebuke of Joe Brady or Matt Rhule, just Bridgewater trying to explain some of his struggles this past season in 2-minute situations. I think Matt Rhule's response is fine, too, that he likes his plan and his program and the way they prepare. Didn't work great for Teddy, so they are trying a different QB this year. It's business.

E was criminally under-appreciated here. He did a lot more than some people think. The notion that Joe Brady was the true OC and E sat back and ate ho-ho’s all year is way off.

Burrow was the difference in 2019. Brady made some adjustments but if we doubt have Burrow in 2019 we don’t win shite.

We had an insane amount of talent, but I dont Think we win without Brady either.

If that offense is just good instead of the best ever we probably drop 1-3 games the way the defense played most of the season.

Just look at how many plays Burrow made by improvising..... when nothing was there HE made something happen....

That's how we played the entire game. No need.

Sure

But also look at how many he made without improving and how few were made in 2018.

There were things we did in 2019 that made the game significantly easier for everyone on the field that we didn’t do in 2018.

I’m a huge Burrow fan. I thought He was clearly very good in 2018, but the offense was an anchor he had to drag around.

We put him under center. Why would we do that?

And CEH, Chase, and Marshall weren’t good enough to start. They IMPROVED. Burrow also improved. Remember, the year before he couldn’t win the starting job at Ohio. A year later he was called the GOAT. He IMPROVED.

Moreau is a legit point. Dillon and Sullivan? Yeah, OK.

Chase just went from unable to beat out 2 guys you scoffed at to the beat WR in school history in an off season.

Maybe, just Maybe, it was the offense.

This is you trying to have your cake and eat it too.

Chase and Marshall? Not ready, but Dillion and Sullivan are both buns too.

Also CEH > Brosette even in 2018.

Did we hear it right, when just after the Spring Game, Coach O stated that he was so glad to have the Brady offense back for this coming season.

It wasn't here last year?

E has no idea how to get talent in the field.

He let Chase and Marshall sit behind 2 guys you literally just wrote off.

“They were ready” Chase scored our first TD and was 3rd on the team in receptions. E does nothing Scheme wise to help players.
