He’s good. 2nd best not even close and many people don’t feel like he was ever really a part of lsu. Me I don’t care either way I just hate they turned down playing in the nit. That was an embarrassment for lsu basketball

He got downgraded to 19/11/9. No triple-double.

quote:no one ever said that. People have downplayed his one year at LSU, but everyone knows what Ben can bring to the table. But to say that Ben Simmons > Pete Maravich is a disgrace to all LSU fans.
It’s a shame people still don’t realize how good Simmons was & is

To believe he is better than The Pistol is just purely asinine. The ALL TIME NCAA scoring leader.

His teammates would have to score for him to get 10 assists in a game

rookie of the year. Great to see a LSU tiger tear up the NBA. Good job Ben

And still no defense in the NBA.. NONE. Stats are useless in today’s game.
Every player from the last 10 years or so just need to have an asterisk by their name similar to steroid era baseball players.its complete horseshite what the league has become.
You know what I remember he most from the last several years? LeBron’s block at the end of Game 7 Finals a couple years ago. That is what I remember. Everything else is pure garbage.
James Harden is the worse defensive player, I’ve ever seen. And it isn’t close.
So post all you want about this guy, it doesn’t mean a damn thing because he has no shot, doesn’t defend worth a shite and the type of game just lets you pass at will because none of them can play the lanes defensively.

I consider these factors and say that he was a Tiger.
Everyone knew that he was one-n-done.
The rest of the squad was not the best combo.
Johnny Jones.
He was a freshman, made some mistakes, lost some motivation down the stretch, and needed more work on his shot.
Great player nevertheless.

I member watching live in the PMAC, Ben Simmons single handly beating the UK.
He wasn’t on a great team; but his tweet to Drake was legendary.
frick any fan that doesn’t stand behind any of our players. NCAA/ NBA rules be damned. Like it was Ben Simmons’s Idea NOT to play in the NIT.

19/11/9.
Not a triple double.
Not a triple double.

No he didn't and missed the game tying bucket from close but let's not skew the facts.

Stop with your shite. Less than 5 people on this board give a shite.

Pete was white mane. Lester don't give credit for that.

He did, you moron.
As a freshman he averaged 19.2 pts, 11.8 reb, 4.8 assists, and shot 56%. The only freshman in LSU history that I can think of with numbers that impressive would be Chris Jackson. Those numbers blow away Shaq’s freshman year.

He said his time at LSU was worthless
Because it was. He was one of the rare players that was NBA-ready straight out of high school. Forcing him to spend a year in college cost him millions.
