If Simmons wanted to get 40 a night in college he could, at a 50% clip. But players aren’t allowed to hog the ball anymore, plus Ben was the best passer to ever play at lsu

I used to be a B.S. hater. I've seen the error of my ways.
I wish LSU would get more players like B.S. It doesn't matter if they poor mouth LSU later, put LSU at serious risk for NCAA violations, have a poor attitude, or play on a losing team. As long as they have STATS and cause national media outlets to casually mention LSU. I say come on down to Baton Rouge!!!!!!

Our problem was with his (in)ability to lead our team to great heights. Stats look good on the sheet, but great players elevate their teams. Didn't happen here with Simmons (and he had some legit talent surrounding him, so he didn't have to shoulder the entire burden). It became crystal clear halfway through the season that he was just biding his time, and he bolted from here as fast as he could once the season was over.
That's why we're bitter.

I think it says more about the coach than the player. Jones' offense was merely a isolation offense for Simmons running point. No movement whatsoever. Simmons was basically playing 1 on 5 most of the time and still put up outstanding numbers. Jones had no concept of how to run out of bounds plays nor how to teach his team how to play team defense. Way too many people blame Simmons when all he really needed was a somewhat competent coach that could open things up for the team to succeed around Simmons.
