How is ben simmons looking like magic johnson? Have you woke up out of bed lately or need glasses ? Lolol. Magic johnson weighs alot more than ben simmons and are not same height, oh and ben simmons is a lot lighter in complexion than magic johnson, and magic johnson has a lot larger bank account than mr simmons. But their interests is both in basketball, whew at least i think you can tell that. You got one thing right. Dont quit your day job, you are horrible at everything else. You might think the white house is same size as your house and has just ss many pple living in there as yours by the ben simmons comment.

Magic was more 6'8 than 6'9 because I saw him standing next to Bird one time while guarding him, but not much difference in a half inch or inch. But I'm laughing at his comment about Magic being a lot more bigger than Simmons. Yeah, now he is, but his playing weight was 220 when he played compared to the 240 Simmons.

I wish you people would forget about Ben Simmons. He's not a true Tiger, IMO.

EVERY NBA coach wants his team to shoot a dunk shot ON EVERY ATTEMPT HIS TEAM TAKES FROM THE FIELD!!! You are making the case for how awsome Ben is when EVERYBODY knows he can't shoot outside of the paint, and yet he is still WRECKING the association.

Nope. I saw Chris Jackson and Shaq in person many times in college. Simmons wasn't as good. He did not take over and dominate games the way Jackson did on offense and Shaq did on defense.

I saw Jackson & Shaq as well. In addition to Derrick Taylor, Leonard Mitchell, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley, and Rex Chapman to name a few. All played better in the PMAC than Simmons did. All took over games. All put their respective team on their shoulders.

(I'm talking about players I saw in person)

Last I heard, a dunk is still the same amount of points as a jumper inside the arc.

Ben Simmons is looking like Magic Johnson by YogaPantshad to get that off my chest eta: only in the first few minutes of the game

When he was here, I said "Ben Simmons looks like a cross between Magic Johnson and Kevin Durant". I thought he had a similar skill set as Magic's at the size of Durant. Some guy gave me a bunch of grief. At the time Durant and Simmons were both listed as 6'10", 240lbs.

Interesting, per NBA.com

Magic's shooting percentage was 52%
Ben Simmons shooting percentage is 54%

Jason Kidd shooting percentage is 40%

I don't get the hate either, and obviously BS is a very special player. However, the guy probably hasn't made a jump shot outside of 6 ft since being in the NBA. Everything he takes is at the rim. Again, not hating on him. He is perhaps the greatest ever player the NBA has seen that has absolutely 0 ability to shoot. It's amazing if you think about it.

I mean If you can score like he can’t and guys like Covington and Reddick give you good spacing and can shoot threes, why take a shot you are less likely to make than a guy you can pass to?

Offensively he’s Blake Griffin who isn’t living in the paint. I feel Like he will eventually develop some
Kind of 3 pointer. Not a great one but just enough to keep defenses honest

He's unguardable. The closest thing to Lebron I've seen thus far.

don't guard him at all on the perimeter. Just sag way off and make him shoot a jumper. (although I don't know if the NBA rules against zone defenses would allow that).

It's a wonder that after Ben has WRECKED THE ASSOCIATION in 81 games this year that NBA coaches have yet to figure out your defensive strategy.
The fact that he has absolutely no shot outside of the paint illustrates how great he has been. If he just becomes average from 15-18 feet, he will become the best to ever play the game.
