He was probably king of the school in high school, and when he got to LSU, he was just another face in the locker room among excellent athletes

Because he is a great player. Bech’s career wasn’t ruined by a fumbled punt. He got hurt. When he got better he was the fifth best receiver on the team. And he played a lot toward the end of the season.

Apparently Bech does not love LSU enough to accept being a role player behind superior players. There’s nothing wrong with that, but quit trying to pretend it’s something else.

No player will accept being a role player in this day with the transfer portal. Especially a highly rated player coming out of high school. I fully expect Bech to get plenty playing time and reps at TCU. Especially since they will actually start a QB who throws the ball to his receivers.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see LSUs receivers jealous to be honest. They’ll all be standing around watching JD run around while Bech and Jojo Earle will be catching pass after pass.

He absolutely had a role with even an average passing QB. See last year’s team.

He’s never going to be the receiver streaking downfield at this level.

Both his uncles were WalkOns, Brett earned a scholarship. Brett trained under Boots Garland, helped him get his 40 time down. Brett played in the NFL for three teams, 4 years with the Saints. He worked for Dr James Andrews, helping with the rehab of patients. He was a S&C Coach for the Dallas Cowboys. Last word I got he was the Director of Strength Training Protocol for OxeFit.
The other uncle Blain, I saw him a few months ago, he was in a golf tournament for Folds Of Honor.
I wish nothing but the best for Jack, he will do well.

Daniels was third in the SEC in completions.

This whole talking point that all he does is run is wrong.

Don’t get me wrong he has issues, but it isn’t that all he does is run.

I suspect those PR drops had more effect than what he’s willing to admit.

Well yes. When you're not getting reps at WR but are at kick returner and can't execute, you're not going to see more playing time.

Jack would've been the 6th best wr on the team next year. We're just too loaded there.

Whether this is Bech making excuses or BK having preconceived notions about who will play it's not a great look to prospective recruits
this is beyond stupid after getting our wr class and a top rated transfer

All bc one dude couldn't cut it, some think it's a bad look

Bech never should have been a returner. He took the job because Nabers failed. As a WR he never fumbled and was considered the most sure handed LSU WR coming into the season. His problem is the other WRs are more dynamic. Nabers and Boutte are better vertical threats and better for YAC. BTJ has size and can out muscle DBs. Jenkins is steady and reliable. What Bech does well is read zones and can sit down in space and give the QB a good target. Ironically he's a better fit for Daniels who struggles with timing and vertical routes and throws to the WR instead of throwing anticipation.

That may be his perspective opinion, but that doesn't make him correct. We had a walk-on as RB1 for almost the entire season. This sounds a bit more like sour grapes than fact.

He is 5th in rushing attempts. He has 180 attempts and the closest LSU RB is J Williams with 97.

He’s 3rd for attempts and completions true. What is also true is he is towards the bottom in TDs and YPA.

What that tells me is he will throw a short route if it is open but if it isn’t he tucks tail and runs.

Unless you subscribe to the theory that JD returning completely caught the entire team and coaching staff unaware, I'm guessing they all knew JD was coming back. And they all decided to stay and Bech was the one who decided to leave. That probably means something whether you want to admit it or not

He’s just crying that there were much better players ahead of him. No chest, not LSU material, frick his business decision.

The injury and late start hurt Bech, but the two fumbles just killed him ... and us, they were both devastating momentum swingers.
Which is stupid. He was the 4th option at returning kicks and probably had less than a week of practice before doing it in a game.

1. It tells you more about our running game that our QB is passing 5x as often .

2. Daniels biggest issue is hesitating to make throws.
Which throws off his timing.
Which means even on the short passes there is little opportunity for catch and run.
