I’m sure he liked LSU it’s likely he just didn’t see eye to eye with Orgeron, which is completely ok for both of them.

Yet Aranda turned down Jimbo to stay.

Y'all stop being pussies.

I believe it. Miles, O, LA politicking… sounds like hell

Would be very different if he was in charge.

It's hard working for a guy who makes way more than you and you are 10x smarter than he is. I can imagine that's probably how he felt.

Exactly. If you’ve ever worked for a boss that tries to tell you what you should be doing but they aren’t even qualified to do your job, you aren’t going to like working for them.

I thought they didn't see eye to eye on the defensive scheme. O is a 4-3 guy and Amanda ran the 3-4. I wouldn't doubt Aranda thought O was beneath him when it came to defensive planning and scheme. Aranda is a smart guy defensively.

Then in 2020 we got our guy to run the 4-3 and we all saw how that turned out.

Aranda stayed longer at LSU than he did at any spot in his coaching career. So I’m sure he hated it here

Imagine being a brilliant, calculated football mind and having to answer to Ed O. I don’t blame him for wanting out after 2019.

Baylor just does not have the money to keep him if it comes to that.
4mill per year, and knowing Woodward, he’d come out with some 8.5 per year deal If he wants him.
That’s more than enough to make a guy move up and out.
That’s what these coaches are about. Baylor is not a lifetime gig....

Aranda said he learned more from Coach O than any coach he had been around and thanked him after Baylor hired him. He said O allowed him to be himself and that made the experience even better for him. If he really didn't like O or something, he would not have said all of that because he didn't need to after Baylor hired him. I know O wanted more of an attacking defense following Aranda, but he found out that replacing Aranda was not that simple.
