You have to make the students want to come. If you want more students at games, be more proactive about it.
Understood, but look at MBB. They did all kinds of things to attract students. Some students even formed a gang and they took it on themselves to grow the student section. It had mixed results.
With baseball it would be tougher. It’s hard to create what Ole Miss has.
If you have some ideas share them. Hopefully the brass would listen. They should.

Now look at other SEC schools that have great student attendance and tell me what the differences are.
At Ole Miss and State student tickets are like $3 and you can bring your on beer

What's LSU charge for student baseball tickets these days?

The price of running the program has increased too.
Fans: win every game
best of everything fans want
Prices same as 1999
Nobody is forcing you to attend if you’re unsatisfied.

Ole Miss has a big arse plot of grass where they let people bring in coolers and chairs to grill and drink. It’s no secret college students like to party for cheap. There have been several ideas thrown out over the years.
Honest question, what is one single thing that LSU has done to improve the student experience at baseball games?

Ole Miss built their stadium on the side of a natural hill. It’s a natural vantage point overlooking play. It caught on. Cheap yes, brings excitement and it’s in the heart of their campus.
I can’t remember LSU doing anything to attract students. Do they charge them? What’s the deal?

This was in the other thread but is more relevant here. I found this thread from last year. A lot of the same opinions but I put together some details with pictures. One post I want to highlight that is relevant to my thread about Auburn:

We are also one of only 3 SEC teams that uses bleacher seating down the lines. It's us, Tennessee and Missouri. That's it. Kentucky has some area where you can bring your own chairs. It's like a berm but there's concrete to add extra seats for NCAA tournaments. Other than that, just the Box. It's embarrassing. LSU has also gone the longest without a true renovation or rebuild outside of Auburn which hasn't touched their stadium in a major way since 1996 and Arkansas which did their last reno in 2007 and at that time was the standard for college baseball and in many ways still is.
Bama - 2015 renovation
A&M - 2012 renovation
Ole Miss - 2009 renovation
State - Demolish and rebuild in 2019
Missouri had a renovation in 2014
Florida is new this year
Tennessee renovated in 2010
Kentucky got a new field in 2019
South Carolina 2009 new and better than ours
Vandy was built in 2002 and renovated in 2006, 07, 09, 12, and 16
UGA was renovated in 2015

The Box atmosphere is not fun for a student. I went to a lot of games, but I’m a huge LSU baseball fan. They are never going to get the casual student to go consistently with the current atmosphere.
Same here. I always figured it was because the game is just slow. I’d buy midweek tickets from people who only came on the weekends and sit in the good seats. Me and my ex made so many senior citizen friends

What was built in 2009 was a joke. It was already behind Baum and USCe when the last brick was laid.
The best improvement would be to extend the concourse and covered seating. Day games at the box are miserable. Scorching sun on metal bleachers.
Plus the extended roof would look awesome and provide cover if rain rolled through.

Post of the week.
I swear, the stuff LSU fans bitch about. How many people complaining about facilities have ever donated a dime to the TAF directed at their pet capital projects? Put your money where your mouth is.

I loved that clock but it is long gone. they removed it when they expanded the video board a couple of years ago. Picture is misleading.
Picture is showing the middle school bleachers and fence filled with ads. What's misleading with respect to the picture?

You moron. Tell us who or what is paying for it? Auburn baseball sure in the frick doesn't produce enough revenue to foot that bill!
They aren't relevant and won't be. Honestly, with NIL, NO ONE will stay up or down.
Why not use those millions for NIL. That gets a player more than a nicer "first base club" will ever get a player.

Players don't care. None of that has anything to do with success on the field.
But maybe you are right.
