Did someone say one time he wants the OF fences moved to where they actually match the measurements on the wall?

That would also be my number one. Those things plus extending the concourse all the way down the foul lines and I’m good. I don’t really care about added suites or some party deck/berm like most seem to want every time this thread pops up.

Kind of have to when you go to Omaha twice in 3 years... we haven't and still have some of the best facilities in the country. Oh wait we need a berm

We need to put seatbacks everywhere and lower the capacity. We haven’t filled the place once since hosting state in 2017. People don’t show up anymore. That’s fine but I want it to be full and loud. That will help with fewer, more comfortable seats.

I assumed that’s what was meant by upgrading the seating.

He wants the OF seats gone/upgraded when they move the fence in. The same ones won’t fit as they are for one.

You guys missed out on the good ole day’s when folks packed a rodeo arena to see Pistol Pete play. You could dyilk smell the sweet aroma of the cattle and horses as Pete burned thdd Ed nets at John M Parker on a regular basis.

Then we had the days when Eddy Furness, Brandon Larsen and the gorilla gang launched homer after homer at a packed Alex Box that was over a half century old. The smoke from under the third base stands could blur your vision from down the third base line as you leaned up to watch the next home run,

Tiger Stadium is not any better, Parts of the old bowl are about 90 years old. Billy Cannon played in the old bowl over 60 years ago. Amenities??? No, excitement for sure. It was a religious experience to watch elite SEC football on a Saturday night.

You guys who believe if raked arm chair seats, a roof over your head, huge concession stands to have great players, great teams and great fan experiences forget what we once had and how we went and watched no matter what.

Fans are spoiled.

Then yea we need chair backs every where and for gods sake extend the damn concourse. No one wants to sit in the bald arse sun for 3 hours in May and June.

You’re not wrong. But we can’t go back to that either. You can’t put your head in the sand and ignore reality and expect people to just show. Kids aren’t that way. Fans aren’t that way. ESPN, flat screens with 6 camera angles and high def, outdoor kitchens, etc. People want comfort and experience. You want a full, loud stadium? You have to get the recruits and take care of their experience (we do this) and you have to get the fans and take care of theirs (we are lacking). That’s the reality of. I’m sorry it’s not 1993 anymore.

Now lets compare ticket prices between then and now.

Why shouldn’t fans expect more when the price of admission continues to climb?

Or when they charge $7 or $8 for a 12oz can of beer.

you telling me that schools don’t upgrade their stadiums and facilities to improve their chances of getting recruits?

Players care about the facilities they use. Schools upgrade fan portions to increase revenue.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Box but I still prefer it to the overgrown softball stadium Auburn has.

Auburn is nice. The brick facade works well. It’s right sized. All seatbacks. All white ads and some character with the wall. Of course it’s a hitters park but its a good fan experience that they’re adding to. Lots of schools have also invested heavily in the player amenities too. Bama has all new locker rooms and player areas. Kentucky, Florida, USCe, State, Ole Miss…. All newer player facilities than LSU. LSUs one leg up is the performance center. The locker room itself doesn’t stand out anymore. The lounge isn’t unique.

I have been to Auburn's baseball stadium, although a game was not going on. It is nice but small. I don't think they will be passing us up.

Would you change anything about our field itself? (aside from the bullpens)

Well currently they have no club seats and we do.

So it seems like they’re catching up.

Same. I went by there during a football tailgating day. It's nothing special, but has a very clean/kept up look. Nice, but nothing extravagant and nothing to wow you.

Seatbacks, ads, batters eye, concourse.

LSUs park/field should be as good as most AA stadiums. We have that kind of fan support. If a place like fricking Starkville can put together what they did, there’s no reason LSU shouldn’t either. What was built in 2009 was a joke. It was already behind Baum and USCe when the last brick was laid.
