It’s possible. NCAA opened the flood gates in the past couple years. No need to keep cal when a younger version is available.

I wonder if Musselman would have preferred the Kentucky job with the coaches just switching.

Noticed Pirate King didn't jump into this thread less than a minute after being created to notify OP this isn't LSU related.

Looks like Arkansas is going to be better than LSU in men’s basketball for at least 5 more years.

Don’t understand the move!

That's like trading in your Cadillac for a Ford.

This is such an odd move that it's either because:

1. Cal was told that he wouldn't be retained, so they're letting go out as if it was on his own accord.

2. He's got boosters / fans up his arse and he's had it with high expectations.

Either way, strange transition but I'm hoping this starts a domino effect and Bama loses their coach in the process.

Calipari has been a very good recruiter, so we’ll see.

If he has similar success at Arkansas to what he’s had at Memphis and Umass it’ll be a major get for their program. If he has similar success to what he had at Kentucky they’ll build statues. Either way this is a home run for Arkansas.
