This did not happen. They attempted to. But they did not take over the stadium. It was a very good atmosphere for a day game.

Those bastards have been running their mouths nonstop since that game. They all swear Death Valley is overrated and they love to point out how Marcel Reed dominated them and their fans took over the stadium.
Very very low point in the past 25 years at home games. Hard to think of many more.

Nah man go back and watch the replay. The stadium had a ton of red sprinkled throughout.

I was at the Aggie game last year. I dont know why people call it a takeover. Didnt know they were even there till half time. But 3rd and 4th quarter when the lsu fans were tired of BK and left, all the aggies started coming down from the nose bleeds and sitting together in the lower bowl.
A takeover to me is where more than half of the stadium is filled with the away team.

I went to LSU during the days of Curley Hallman. There were many games where the opposing team (Bama and Tenn come to mind) utterly took over TS.

No visiting team is going to fully "take over" the stadium. But there were a LOT of Georgia fans in attendance that day. Both upper decks were mostly red and there were numerous Georgia fans scattered throughout the stadium. The reason the large Georgia crowd wasn't more impactful was because LSU controlled the game from beginning to end. There wasn't much for the UGA fans to get overly excited about...unlike last year vs. A&M where they dominated the second half, LSU fans left, and all that was left in the stadium at the end was A&M fans...which made it seem like they had a huge amount of fans in attendance.

This was UGA's mission for a few years as well as they were making their ascent. They did the same thing at ND.

No one has come close to taking over Tiger Stadium. UGA had about 15k in 2018, Tenn had about 8-9k in 2022 and A&M had about the same as Tenn last year.
UGA/Tenn looked worse than they really were because their colors pop out so much and our's don't. Tenn/A&M games were bad so a lot of our fans left and their fans congregated so it looked worse.
Tenn fans like to pump their chests about it, but we honestly had way more fans in Neyland in 2017 (probably 12k).
All that said, what UGA did to Notre Dame and Tennessee did to Ohio St were essentially takeovers and were both very impressive.

UGA and Tenner had a lot of fans helped by their obnoxious colors, but both fanbases circle an away game every year to "take over". With the way the SEC schedule used to work, playing in Death Valley as an East team happened once a decade, so naturally they would pick that as the game to travel to.
I've been to more LSU away games than I can count. LSU travels pretty well to most of them, but the only "take over" that occurs is usually Vandy. That 2019 trip had to be 75% LSU fans.

A&M game last season was awful. But 24 hours later CBK was gone. If we had won, he’d probably still be here

You’re the problem!
This mindset is exactly why I started the thread because Longhorn fans will definitely pay the price to check this off their bucket list.
That plus the fact that Texas never comes to BR and the fan bases overlapping big time. There is A lot of interaction among Tiger and Longhorn fans.
I just hate how easy our so called fans sell out for money. These types have zero integrity.

How many season tickets do you have, how much do you pay for them, and how many games have you actually attended in the last 5 years?
ETA: As someone who has had to eat $$$$$ over the last few years, I don't blame someone for recouping their season cost by selling one game if they can. Can't help it if some idiot from Texas wants to pay $1000 per ticket.
Hell, we do the same with the parking passes. You can typically sell one game and it pays for the entire season.

2018 Georgia was an impressive showing but they didn't take over. If anything their presence riled up the LSU home contingent even more.
In the Southwest endzone there were more opposing fans then normal. Had a group of UGA fans behind us and early their running back hit the hole and trucked a safety filling the hole for a 1st down. They all celebrated by starting to loudly bark.
The drive finished with the fake punt and Delpit blasting the holder/kicker (whoever it was) short of the 1st down. Our whole section started "yelping" like a dog being whipped.
The yelping continued for 4 quarters. Georgia fans were leaving en masse by the middle of the 4th quarter.
Thanks for coming, spending money, have a safe trip home. Fun day.
