Not being a debbie downer but thinking this through from a team mindset perspective there could be a lot of variables

UK - coming off a tough, emotional, OT win on the road at SC. Could be rat poison or could give them a boost of confidence as now their only loss is Bama who is looking pretty good. On the flip, getting bumped out of the rankings means they could be playing w a huge chip on their shoulder.

LSU - coming off a much needed cupcake game where they damn near set a school record for offense and (some) backups proved they could ball. But this was against McNeese - did that cover up the impact of key injuries?

I still think the Tigers win but this could be closer than we would like it to be.

No, this is not a trap game. Kentucky is 3-1 and playing at home. They are on the edge of the top 25. LSU is going in with their eyes wide open. If we lose it won’t be because we were surprised.

I don’t think so. In Lexington coming off of a cupcake easy win is almost the opposite of a trap game imo.

Yes BUT I don’t think LSU is overlooking them, which is usually when traps happen. The fact that it’s on the road I think actually helps with motivation.

Kentucky is a pretty known commodity and pretty good on offense. Nobody thinks they can’t beat us if we don’t show up.

It’s an SEC road game. There are no traps.

It's not a trap game, its just another week in the SEC. Capable team with an upper-lower half SEC roster playing a game at night at home. Not a trap, just a game you can't roll out of bed, throw your helmet out there and get a win.

I don’t think you understand what a trap game is.

We played McNeese last week.

How could this possibly be a “trap” game????

Just because it is a solid team on the road doesn’t mean it is a trap

You just played McNeese and have an 11 am against State next week. I am not sure what should be drawing your attention away from this game to be a trap game. This is THE game of the 3 games.

Nope! Played a cupcake last week. Going on the road to what will be a fired up crowd helps the team to not do any looking ahead or disrespecting the opponent.

The team's watching film this week seeing how badly Kentucky beat A&M - I'm sure that has their attention. Kiffin will also be hammering home how Kentucky led Bama at halftime and how they mounted a 17-0 comeback. They've shown enough capability for me to expect our team to be looking past them.

I think fans overanalyze things WAY too much.

Neither Green nor Spears played against Texas A&M. Yet, LSU played arguably its best game of the season. At minimum, Leavitt had his best game as a passer this season. Outside of those two and Weeks where are all of these "key injuries" many seem to think have potentially derailed the season?

At minimum, LSU has played just as well, maybe better, with Green and Spears out. Weeks is TBD given the only full game he's missed thus far is McNeese.
