UK coming off overtime road win could also be draining.

Yes, nothing says “trap” like a game sandwiched between those big, highly anticipated showdowns with McNeese and Mississippi State.

Not even remotely. If this team isn't focused on this game to end the road losing streak, then we have problems. They will be focused. Only the weak and those that panic easily believe this is a trap.

no, we have historically struggled at Kentucky barely beating them in 2001 and 2002, which was a miracle , and haven’t beat them since in Lexington. The team knows this.

Kentucky is far from a trap game, they are a very good team, I highly think LSU is taking them lightly.

And I doubt they care given that most (maybe all) weren't even born then.

Players aren't fans. They don't have the luxury to spend all week analyzing 1,001 different scenarios surrounding the game. They just keep with their routine. It's a much more business like approach.

Trap game implies looking ahead to next week. LSU is not looking ahead to Miss St.

I'm pretty sure Lane remembers. That game cost him a playoff spot in 24'. He's not letting that happen again.

A road sec game should never be a trap game

No. What happened with UK last week or in the rankings has no bearing on this being a trap game...UK is usually tough at home for us.

Not a trap game, but a tough conference road game.

LSU should have had more than a week to practice for UK because they played McNeese.

UK couldn’t overlook SC. It wasn’t a cupcake. And they had the emotional comeback win, so they’re in a similar place LSU was following the Bluegrass Miracle.

The week following the Bluegrass Miracle, LSU was blown out at home by Bama.

I don't think "Trap Game" is appropriate.

This sounds more like you previously assumed (wrongly) that LSU was a sure thing to win this game and now you are having second thoughts.

Kentucky is a legit middle tier SEC team. That makes them dangerous and very dangerous at home.

If we played a huge game next week then sure.
But this is probably one of the better teams we will play until the Bama game.

The only reason they dropped KY out of the top 25 is to hurt LSU's resume at the end of the year.

"Kentucky was not a top 25 win" will be the narrative
