I’ll give you one example. Angel Reese cried racism because an Australian coach called her a “protected species” in reference to her getting foul calls. Little did Angel know that it’s a term used in Australia to refer to star players that get special treatment. That’s one example.

Personally, I don’t like people who publicly call other people racist, when they in fact are not racist. If you like that kind of stuff, good for you.

Go frick yourself. I’m so sick of this elementary bullshite. Not liking Angel Reese doesn’t make someone a racist. That’s an absurd standard that only gets applied in one direction. People dislike athletes all the time for how they play, how they act, how much they trash-talk, or how they handle the spotlight. That’s normal in sports.
The idea that you’re required to love and support every Black athlete, celebrity, or public figure or else you’re a racist is the actual problem. That’s not anti-racism. That’s treating people as racial representatives instead of individuals. You can think Reese is a good rebounder, a solid player, and still find her on-court antics or off-court narrative grating. You can prefer other players. None of that requires a racial motive.

People will cheer for an entire LSU roster full of black athletes, buy the jerseys, and scream for them on Saturdays—but the second they don’t like Angel Reese’s attitude, suddenly it’s racism??

All three you list are coaches. They are currently at LSU and their polarizing is specifically to benefit LSU winning. Of course they had support but it’s not universal. Plenty have posts about lane should be not pushing certain things etc.

Your answer tells me you aren’t trying to figure this out you are just trying to push a racial narrative.

Me first attention whoring athletes have a difficult line to walk. Shaq is universally beloved because of the humor and personality he displays. Angel doesn’t have that personality so it tends to rub people the wrong way. But for her and her brand all attention even bad is better than no attention so she plays it up.

Angel had a “look at me” attitude when she first hit the WNBA and got away from being a hard nosed humble basketball player. She also was easy to ole fun at because she could not make a layup.

She has been a little better with the attitude lately and may be evolving into a serious basketball player. If she does that, people will like her. If she creates drama, they won’t.

she did her duty for kim and LSU, i have no issues. i don't really pay attention to wnba so it's honestly out of sight out of mind.
