Lol, so $10 million annual contracts aren’t binding but term sheets are. As I say, y’all drank the koolaid.

I’m not saying they won’t all end up at LSU, but there’s nothing stopping them from staying at Ole Miss or going to another school altogether.

They are bidning to whatver the terms are, lane didn't have a buyout

They have put a buyout in Weis contract that is 300% of his salary apparently

If Ole Miss wanted him they can afford $6 million. Ole Miss has already hired his replacement though.

ETA: which is why you see Kiffin’s glee at the hire.

This is LSU saying, "See, recruits, those guys will be coaching at LSU."

I assume if they wanted to stay there they would.

they just want to do right by their players and if they wanted to go back to Ole Miss literally nothing would stop them.

What do we stand to gain by this and we are only helping a conference rival who despises us and would not do this if tables were reversed?

Because our new head coach wants to do it. Our leadership and our coach believe it's the right thing to do.

What’s to keep any of these guys from staying at OM?

OM would have to pay LSU 300% of the salary of the coach that stayed. Plus the coaches that came with Lane have been with him for years. The odds of them bailing are really slim.

No, it doesn't, but it isn't hurting us right now and as mentioned before it's something our new head coach wants to do.

Who gives a frick if they go? Everyone will be where they want to be. Charlie Weis Jr wrote a statement. If he backs out so what. It’s Lane’s offense. The offensive side of the ball is taken care of. And the defense now that Baker is retained. Missing out on Elijah sucks, but we’ll be fine. The stability is in place. It’s very obvious by your post history that you hate Lane. And you’ll probably spend the next 10 years talking shite. And that’s fine. That’s what keeps the board fun.

None of those coaches will try and get any OM players to transfer to LSU. They will respect OM.

1- the new OC that Ole Miss just hired is probably a good indication that you have nothing to worry about.

2- there is absolutely no down side for LSU here. Either Ole miss loses and we get to laugh at them, and our coaches return. Or Ole Miss wins a game or two, with the offense looking good, and it's a walking billboard for LSU bc our staff is coaching them to success.

All this.

It's good for us if Ole Miss wins the national championship. It increases our strength of schedule and the reputation of the SEC.
