It feels like it right now. I live in the heart of OM country. I hate OM with a passion. These people are insufferable. I cannot wait until Chambliss is gone. He single handedly wins their games.

The reality is this. We have the better coach, better resources, better athletes. Etc. The future is bright. Lane went 5-5 at OM his first year. We will likely go 9-3 and just miss the playoffs. However, in the years to come I expect the floor will be 10 games. Ed and BK left us in shambles and I feel confident that Lane is the guy to bring back LSU to greatness. I am guilty of putting unrealistic expectations on this season. We all want it desperately. However, over time I feel good that Lane with right the ship and LSU will go back to dominance.

Well said, I choose to follow this sentiment until the first drive of next week when we have to punt or Leavitt makes a bad read.

We will destroy Aggie and beat Bama and Texas. Bama and Texas don’t impress me

I don’t think we impress many teams either.

And yet we still lost. Pretty frustrating to have nothing to show for it all

Yep, not all, but 2 key starters, 2 potential starters (Philly Wright, Gabe Relliford) are and we’ve got a lot of games to play.

That’s 3 starters and a potential starter that have been lost before 3 games were even completed.

Any way you spin in, devastating….

As long as Leavitt and Baker are here, none of these three things will happen.

I agree LT we will be just fine.

I was not surprised Chambliss was better than Leavitt, but was surprised that our OL/DL lost the LOS most of the game. Our tackling wasn’t the best last night.

Biggest concern is Trey Dez Green & his injury. It looked bad. We also need a #2 RB to give Jones a break.

Truth is we are a mid tier program that occasionally/rarely has a great season. Everyone always expects the coming season to be the next ‘great’ one. This one probably will fall well short of great, again.

Consistency has been an issue at LSU for much of my lifetime but to say they are mid tier is retarded. They have played for 4 national championships in the last 23 years.

Well, they have maybe the best player in the country, that goes a long way.

I think your opinion is mid tier. LSU is a championship program with any competent coach. We’ll be fine. Anyone judging the season or the future on this game knows nothing about football.

True. Having a 24 yr old 6th year senior at QB is indeed a luxury that no other team is allowed.

those other 19 years were we upper crust blue blood level? Nope. When you are very average in 19 out of 23 years and counting, you are what you are.
