God Bless Alex! An inspiration to us all, quite a young man, and only wish there were more like him.

Remember at the beginning of the season when the sentiment on here was, “If only Milazzo can hit 220 we’ll be okay at catcher”? He hit 290 this season!

Young men like Alex Milazzo, Gavin Dugas, and Cade Beloso are examples that all young ball players and the youth in general should follow.

Thanks very much for sharing this.

We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Gavin came from a small Christain school in Houma, very very small classes, a sports program the same, so for him to develop into a college baseball National Champion speaks again to his character & work habits.

so all Italians from Milazzo Italy are Catholic?

Kinda like that pastor Jesse Duplaintis. He MUST be catholic with a French last name like that! All Cajuns are Catholic.

It’s actually not very big. Just looks that way on camera for some reason. Might hold 200 people

Summary: Tells a story about sitting in his truck when he wasn’t playing much, discouraged after practice, he prayed. “God, I don’t know what plan you have for me, but I want you to know I’m going to blindly follow your lead, and be happy with the results”. Ever since that night it felt like weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

Then goes on to tell a story: he felt he was being drawn to speak to Jordan Thomason after JT’s struggles. The next morning Alex seeks Jordan and walks up “if you’re looking for someone who believes in you, just look at me”. Sure enough in Jordan’s first at-bat he goes down 0-2, makes eye contact with Alex in the dugout and taps his chest.

Jordan coming thru, and appreciating Alex, meant as much to him as the championship.
