she will be attending class with my niece.

She’s a soon to be college freshman and doesn’t have social media?
Idk if that was your choice or hers, but as a college student myself, I think it’s almost a must have. Not even in a peer pressure way, it just is so integrated into the college culture.
Also she might be lying to you

Hate to break it to you, but.... LSU doesn't have a nursing school on the Baton Rouge campus. She's either moving to the hood in New Orleans or the same in Shreveport.
BUT... Pretty sure she can complete her pre-req's here in Baton Rouge. The idea of sending my child to New Orleans for nursing school scares the shite out of me, however. I would rather suck it up and send her to 8T4 if she wanted to be a nurse. Or Southeastern...
BTW, and to gloat on mine... She is enetring her senior year at LSU in English, top 4 or 5 in her class. Already accepted into her grad program.

To the OP: you’ll find that wearing purple and gold on game day will make you new friends. I promise, our tailgate scene is better than what you’re used too. As a friend whose daughter chose Georgia, he said he had a financial investment there, so he became a Bulldog fan.

Congratulations to you, fellow dad, for leading your child along a productive path in life.

Pre-Nursing I should say. I am a dumbass. She is going to LSU 1.5 or 2 years (?) for prerequisites. Then on to New Orleans. She is carrying a bunch of college credit into college. Her mother, who is a BSN, knows more about it than me. I am just the dad alright?
I absolutely hate the fact that LSU does this to kids. Nursing students deserve a full four year experience in BR. All of the resources they have right there in red stick and they can’t partner with OLOL or Ochsner to develop a program that keeps kids on campus all four years?
So many girls grow up dreaming of going to LSU and becoming a nurse only to have their dreams dashed.

For years the wife's LSU/New Orleans family has bagged on me and my Aggies. Now they get the last laugh
You'll probably get the last laugh when they get carjacked and their arms ripped out.

1 to 2 quality minutes with me and you'll be eternally optimistic.

tough man....if I had a daughter I'd want her to go to a&m too....almost 0% chance of her getting railed and knocked up there

LSUHSC is a good program. She will have no life for 3 years but that’s ok

Don't bring any of that alternative lifestyle crap down here

I though you were a Texas fan?

The nursing school is in New Orleans.
My bad saw your post saying you knew she’d be in Nola longer than BR.

Congrats, fellow dad of a daughter.
My eldest daughter is graduating from LSU School of Nursing this May.
Already has her job lined up for afterwards (Ochsner ICU, great pay).
More importantly, already has own place to live (with a roommate to share the rent), and will soon be "off the payroll"...

There are a lot of nice people in Baton Rouge. Just don't look at the rant and think man people are vicious down here. It's mostly Trolls and most of them can't spell.
