Also shows how much longer the tournament runs into June compared to then.

Yeah, very hard to realize that was 22 years ago.
I was fortunate to be sitting 10 rows above the Tigers dugout for the game. What a magical scene. I barely saw the ball go over the wall then the crazyness really started! I wound up 2 rows from my seat-still don't know how I got there! Yes, I also still get goosebumps when watching the video.

CWS final game 6/8 vs 6/26 - 6/27. Even if you had just one regional like back then, the final game wouldn’t be until 6/19 - 6/20. Makes you realize how much they pushed the season back.

That game was a defining moment in LSU baseball. Really enjoyed seeing the video and listening to Hawthorne’s call on Morris’s HR.

Me and 2 buddies were watching the game at their apartment. 3 females joined us to watch the game, but they were just casual sports fans and were just there to hang out more than anything else. Morris hits the homer and me and the other 2 fellas start jumping around the apartment and screaming like little kids. The 3 females just kinda sit there and look at us like we are some sort of aliens. After a few minutes of jumping around the apartment with the fellas, we went outside and jumped around and screamed some more and were joined by other residents of the apartment complex. It totally seems like yesterday.

Which usually gets lost in all of the hoopla the over the Morris homer. That was one of the best baseball games I have ever seen. 2 great teams going blow for blow for the entire 9 innings.

Same! Like clockwork, "LSU WINS" gets me everytime. So does the SEC storied documentary on it, and I've seen it like a 100 times lol

Two great pics Breaking the Bank.

Besides the jubilation, I have two other observations.

First, the coach appears to be doing his job of directing Morris to go to second base. The angle of his finger doesn’t appear to be No1.

Second, the Miami fan standing there crushed. He would probably be down like Cora, but there is not enough room. Almost feel sorry for him. I said “almost”.
