From what I’m reading Duckworth is more athletic but inconsistent with mechanics and accuracy while Bergeron is more fundamentally sound but more of a traditional pocket guy.

Personally I’d rather the latter, but whatever wins. I just want to see a guy step UP in the pocket to buy time and throw downfield.

If only we had a coach on staff who could develop Duckworth. This is in Kiffin’s wheelhouse.

Go start your freshman year then transfer. Not sure what’s better. The experience of playing there or one year practicing here.

Cocks are down bad in this one.

Can you clarify what you mean? Are you suggesting they are not willing to pay as much as LSU? If that is true, are you sure they’re “down”?

I watched a ton and read a ton on him last night. Hyper athletic, tall, not as skinny as a Jayden Daniels at this age. Good arm strength, but yes, poor mechanics lead to inaccurate throws. I think it can be fixed with good coaching. He’s got amazing upside, but I doubt a true freshman starter.

I don’t think Lane is looking for him to be True Freshman starter. Our starter for next year at least is still on another college roster. (I know you probably know this but just wanted to point it out he will have time to develop.)

Beamer is going to be on a super hot seat from the start of next year & if he's the main reason the Cocks are in the hunt............

Watching his highlights, he has some cool plays running around in the pocket dodging people, but he’s also holding onto the ball way too long and would 100% get sacked at the college level.

what about a QB in the portal?
Does LSU push chips all in for Duckworth or wait to see what is in the portal?

Seems like we will do both.
