Agreed. That still leaves a massive hole at SG. Shaping up like this is going to be a defense + points in the paint team.
There's also the hope that we're sleeping on Bashir and he can start at the 2.
I mean Bashir is a high volume, high percentage 44.4% last season sharpshooter.

Yeah he looked fine to me. Like I said, I felt like when he does shoot it looks good. And he seems confident in his shot to just pull up whenever he feels the need. And I haven;'t even seen anything on him from this year. That was based off last year.
Edited to add: Just watched those highlights from this year and he is really impressive. More of an offensive threat than the previous year. Whoever gets him. That's a talented young man.

The draft buzz around Graves continues to grow despite what some considered a lackluster combine showing. Hopefully, Wade has Burks on speed dial.

After his comments yesterday, I don’t see him coming to LSU. 10% chance IMO

Graves situation is sus. Dude ranks in the bottom 50 in all the athletic drills.

Yes, and he didn't do himself any favors in the shooting accuracy portion either but apparently the NBA guys love his efficiency/ analytics and may be willing to draft him in the first regardless. I don't understand it, but it could just be the nerds doing the mocks.

If we close Madar he's going to start and be a lot better than people here are thinking IMO. Still need another guard though.
I was not impressed with Madar in that game vs France. He has poor shooting form, and nothing else about his game was impressive. He might be an adequate backup, but I hope he isn't a starter.

Wades analytics are insane from schedule to the advanced stats and understanding what winning teams do. It’s pretty crazy fat Scott managed to hire a guy that was basically the polar opposite of what was becoming our winningest coach ever. Guy had a paper tiger record but any probing would have found he clearly wasn’t a fit here
100%.
PS. Who are the two losers who downvoted your post and mine? Show yourselves. I’m going to guess it was tigersbb and ChatGPT

Excuse my ignorance here about foreigners but who is this guy and his background? Exciting write up

Went on YouTube and checked a bunch of random draft podcast so take it for what it's worth.
Most of them said Graves probably should come back to work on his physical traits some BUT they said it wouldn't shock them if he got a first round guarantee.
Also they were pretty certain it's LSU or NBA

He's part of the "Basket Under Review" group which includes the Trilly Donovan discord where he's posting this stuff. Runs something called "PDT Scouting". He seems to have better intel on what the international guys are doing/where they are going than anyone.

Gotcha thanks for the reply

Yam's stats look good, and so do his highlights, but he didn't look nearly as good in that game vs France as he was billed. I watched about half the game where they said he looked like the 2nd best player on the court, but he didn't look like one of the best to me. France and a couple of Yam's teammates seemed better. I remember Zipper's highlights in the Israeli league also looking pretty good, as well as his stats. Yam seems more athletic, his highlights are more impressive, and he does have steals and blocks in his stats, so I think he's a better player, but I don't think that league is great. My assessment was mainly based on what I saw in that France game. France does have terrific players, and he seemed pretty pedestrian in that game.

Well it's just one game from a year ago but his teammate Deni Avdija scores 24 points per game in the NBA so not surprised he wasn't the best player on his team. He scored 17 in the game with 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 24 minutes...not bad. France had multiple guys that play/played in the NBA.

May 15 roster update:
Guards:
Ugo
Bashir
Madar (not done yet but likely)
TBD (staff is still working on Montero but will be a really tough pull)
Wings/Bigs
Niang (done deal)
Dessert (done deal)
Mo Dioubate
Santos
RJ Louis (done deal but gotta clear up eligibility)
Graves (50/50 draft or LSU rn)
If all pieces fall into place thats 10 guys. But Montero is trending staying so wouldn’t get hopes up there

Any insight as to how Luis could be eligible without court battles? That would be incredible if Wade can pull it off.

I honestly don’t know, I didn’t really ask bc it seemed complicated

Wouldn't mind get 1-2 more guys beyond for depth...guessing that could be reserved for a Hampton or other HS guys?
