If we close Madar he's going to start and be a lot better than people here are thinking IMO. Still need another guard though.

Agreed. That still leaves a massive hole at SG. Shaping up like this is going to be a defense + points in the paint team.

There's also the hope that we're sleeping on Bashir and he can start at the 2.

This was the write up on Spagnolo -

Matteo Spagnolo

Solid size for a PG, he’s very strong, downhill savvy guard, has legit on-ball creativity, pretty quick, athletic and just a really fun watch attacking and drawing contact, missed a few at the rim looks that he should have converted, 58.6% this season so he should be fine scaling to college. He does not space it well enough nor take a lot of 3s generally, so he’s very much just a slashing playmaking guard, went up vs some high-level EL and NBA players and looked the part should be pretty good in terms of EU guards in college, but without much a shot he’s firmly behind Ellis and Madar for me

Stats: 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 4/10 FG, 23 mins.

Nice. Could be a good option if Madar falls through. Those guys I posted from YT talking about Biberovic mentioned that we had offered Montero but if we end up with Madar he is still a really good get for college. Neither are on Montero's level but I would be happy with any of the 3.

I mean Bashir is a high volume, high percentage 44.4% last season sharpshooter.

Yeah he looked fine to me. Like I said, I felt like when he does shoot it looks good. And he seems confident in his shot to just pull up whenever he feels the need. And I haven;'t even seen anything on him from this year. That was based off last year.

Edited to add: Just watched those highlights from this year and he is really impressive. More of an offensive threat than the previous year. Whoever gets him. That's a talented young man.

The draft buzz around Graves continues to grow despite what some considered a lackluster combine showing. Hopefully, Wade has Burks on speed dial.

After his comments yesterday, I don’t see him coming to LSU. 10% chance IMO

Graves situation is sus. Dude ranks in the bottom 50 in all the athletic drills.

Yes, and he didn't do himself any favors in the shooting accuracy portion either but apparently the NBA guys love his efficiency/ analytics and may be willing to draft him in the first regardless. I don't understand it, but it could just be the nerds doing the mocks.

I was not impressed with Madar in that game vs France. He has poor shooting form, and nothing else about his game was impressive. He might be an adequate backup, but I hope he isn't a starter.

Wades analytics are insane from schedule to the advanced stats and understanding what winning teams do. It’s pretty crazy fat Scott managed to hire a guy that was basically the polar opposite of what was becoming our winningest coach ever. Guy had a paper tiger record but any probing would have found he clearly wasn’t a fit here

100%.
