I think this is a good list although don’t think Graves is a sure thing to leave draft.

If Jean Montero can somehow be convinced to come over with this group…Wade’s top 15 comment may be conservative.

Would also like to add Jordan Burks and a 3 point shooting wing.

Wild card is RJ Luis.

Just speculative from the Trilly discord. He’d cost a fortune to bring over from Europe. They think we’re trying.

I saw where supposedly a few teams have already offered him 4 mil.

Trilly says we’ve offered over $6 and so far he thinks Montero isn’t taking it. But there’s been increased speculation that he may come to the states. This would be his last year to play college basketball.

We would be able to offer Montero the highest number similar to what we’ve been doing for these other international guys. But don’t really know how much he wants to come to the states right now.

It’s actually pretty fascinating though. LSU is pretty much controlling the market for the euros right now because most teams have spent their money already on portal guys. Duke and Arizona wanted Niang but couldn’t outspend us and we basically swooped in on Texas Tech at the last minute and gave Dessert a bag. Sounds like we’re spending more for Santos than Kentucky and BYU also.

Wade wasn’t a fan much of the portal talent this offseason. Not jumping the gun on those guys has basically given us priority pick on these international guys.

Yeah, it kind of makes sense. He is up for a contract over there and would only be moving over here for a year if it all worked out and he got a waiver. I think he's in a different position because he played 4 years in college and I believe already went through the draft process.

Yep. All the negativity about missing on guys is typical bs. He didn’t just suddenly decide to go scout international players lol. It’s been on his radar for a while.

Based on Wade's interview, Santos should be one of the 2 or 3 bench guys that he would allocate NIL to. If Santos is a starter, then that means they missed on Graves or Niang

Is it Niang or a big like Dessert he would be competing for a starting spot with? I know a lot of these internationals can play multiple positions. I thought Santos is more of a skilled 4-5 while Niang is more of a 3?

It's a small handful desperately wanting Wade to fail so they can claim some sort of anonymous message board cred. Assuming Wade just suddenly forgot how to recruit and land high-demand players means ignoring 10+ years of history. While yes, his approach has been very different from most programs this offseason, to think it wasn't part of a well thought out plan is foolish. If you paid even a sliver of attention during the 5 years he was at LSU you know that he is highly detailed in his approach.

Then again, many of this small handful were the same ones defiantly proclaiming Wade was NEVER going to return to LSU...all while ignoring the fact that for months the pieces setting up his return were continuously being put in place.

Santos is an undersized 5 that's not really athletic enough to play the 4. He can score, step out and hit 3s. He's a poor defender. He's a nice piece to have in the rotation but isn't starting on a roster with Graves, Dioubate, & Niang.

They're baseball bros with the pipe dream of LSU putting baseball second in the feeding line, and it's not gonna happen with this administration.

It's really that simple. Not much else makes sense for the hatred of the coach that CLEARLY had the best 5 year start in school history, and was well on his way to bringing back the Dale days and most likely better.

But he’s never made it past the Sweet 16, might as well not even make the tournament.
