I don't know about Montgomery but I heard similar for Hill. I wouldn't expect him or any other MIF transfer.

So apparently reason Guidry left Rougaroo after one summer league game was he woke up sore next day so they shut him down till after July

No idea, but a guy who just interviewed hill posted his interview summary. The main reasons hill is leaving is to be closer to home and to play in a program who annually has a shot at omaha, as he went to omaha to check things out….take that as you will

Kendall “the pussy” Rogers is saying he expects Montgomery back at Stanford so we should see pretty soon I’d imagine

Hopefully next year is a surprise as well, but I would expect to see much more attrition from that class. Griffin, Curiel, Arrambide, Caminiti, Victorian, and Fountain are all potential day 1 guys. Perfect Game has those first 4 listed in their top 10 ranks for next season (1, 2, 4, and 10 respectively)

Little of both from what I am hearing. I think Jay is ok with his MIF and does not want to scare any of the incoming guys off.
Also sounds like Hill wants to stick at SS from a few things I read. Maybe Jay didn't want to promise him a SS spot.

We don’t have a single proven above average hitter on the roster at MIF. Should be a no brainer.

Seems like Jay may be playing his hand to trust himself in developing the ones he has now so none of the incoming guys decide to bail out.
Tough situation. Can't always go running to the portal. Hard to make a case for guys to come to campus if you have a track record of filling positions with a ton of portal guys. Not a good strategy for the long haul in my opinion of building a program.

Also already taking Braswell. Hill didn't help himself if he wanted to come to LSU by waiting until the last couple days of portal being open.
