re: LSU Baseball 2023 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread - BayTiger13
Also 5 in the top 20 and 6 in the top 33 just to go a little further. Definitely an amazing job to get these guys here. Can't wait for some fall baseball to go along with a little football. Nic Bronzini is at 100 so that is 7 in the top 100. I also believe that Griffin Herring should be in the to...

2024 season will be the last season Covid year players will factor in correct? That would be the class we just talked about covid Sr year. After that shouldn't have any left and I would assume all roster sizes will be 35 unless they change the roster rules....

re: Into the wild (N2daWild) wild baseball predictions - BayTiger13
Y’all are getting too caught up on this primary position thing and the position Jay brought him in to play. The dude can smash a baseball. He was brought in to hit with his position being a trial and error to see what happens kind of thing. Don’t think Jay brought him in saying this is the guy for 3...

re: LSU Baseball 2022 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread (OLD THREAD, PLEASE STICKY NEW ONE) - BayTiger13
I just think they will have entirely too many options between a lot of guys capable of going 5-7 IP to not hasve at least 3 guys step up and produce. That is the difference on the 2 seasons. Last season it didn't seem like we had enough options to stretch out. Just a lot of good options that can giv...

re: LSU Baseball 2022 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread (OLD THREAD, PLEASE STICKY NEW ONE) - BayTiger13
Agree somewhat. The lack of starting pitching had more to do with not hosting or making a further run in postseason than what you mentioned in my opinion. I thought the issues in order from most relevant to least last season was: 1. SP 2. C 3. MIF The 2 most important parts of it to me w...

In that list only 2 are considered OF right now. So he wouldn't have to move any of them out. He will have to compete with Stevenson/Jobert/the other freshman OF. Quite honestly I think it is his spot to lose though. Stevenson and Jobert have to much swing and miss in their game. Like I said thou...

re: Into the wild (N2daWild) wild baseball predictions - BayTiger13
He doesn't have to move anyone out. To start it will likely be his job to lose from the beginning with Dugas moving to the IF. If he is struggling and doesn't do well enough to stay in the OF then I can see Morgan going to the OF if Guidry is playing well. When it is all said and done I believe M...

re: Into the wild (N2daWild) wild baseball predictions - BayTiger13
I think Morgan playing 1B/OF will all depend on if Guidry and Kling plays themselves into the lineup. If Kling doesn't take a spot I can see Morgan going out in the OF if Guidry takes an IF spot. Something like Guidry/Thompson at SS/3B and Dugas at 2B with White at 1B. Morgan goes to corner OF with ...

re: Into the wild (N2daWild) wild baseball predictions - BayTiger13
Why is everyone so sure that Morgan is a good outfielder?
That is a good point. I think the only questionable thing is his arm. Speed and athletic ability isn't an issue. Possibly take him a little while to get used to reads off the bat and routes to take in the OF, but with the ty...

This will be an unpopular opinion on here but I think yall give Morgan a lot more credit of "saving runs" than I believe he actually does. Some people here act like Morgan is the only 1B in the history of college to be able to pick a baseball or make a play on bad throws. Is he good, sure. Did he sa...

re: LSU Baseball 2022 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread (OLD THREAD, PLEASE STICKY NEW ONE) - BayTiger13
He will stay at Grand Canyon. At this point I don't think you have very many options from the portal that can be a serious contributor in the infield as far as pushing starting guys. I'm good with Dugas 2B, Thompson SS, and White 3B with Guidry pushing them all. Simon is the wild card. Maybe now ...

re: Pitching rotation with and without Noot? - BayTiger13
Taylor showed the ability multiple times to throw 4+ IP in an outing last season. I think he might have just got overused a little as a freshman and toward the end of the season he was struggling with command. Both of them played in the Cape in the summer and those outings weren't even close as to wh...

re: Pitching rotation with and without Noot? - BayTiger13
Floyd and Taylor in my book, as of now, is ahead of Little. Little has not shown enough consistency to have him in front of either of those guys. Taylor showed signs of how good he can be during last season and then had a really good summer in the Cape....
