With his dad at the Saints, I wonder if the easy solution is for him to just transfer to a NOLA area school for 2026.

This is selective enforcement at its finest. Happens in Louisiana regularly.

Different state. I know several kids that were ruled ineligible for similar transfer reasons. Glad he got ruled ineligible. That is the way it should be.

It’s not selective. I would call it the exact opposite. Texas is cracking down on this and trying to rein it in. I would say deciding someone of his status being ineligible takes some balls!

At this point, I'm sure they can find a judge in Athens to rule him eligible for the NCAA this year.

Would be easier for dad than having to fly back and forth to DFW a couple times a week.

My wife (a teacher) was telling me about 2 children she taught this year (twins) being held back to repeat 8th grade even though both kids passed.
It's clear they are being held back to athletic purposes and not for the kids best interest (but maybe it is).
These 2 kids were also held back some years ago so they'll be at least 2 years overage when they graduate.
