So how did she end up with that office space in Bruno and Bruno’s building downtown?

On pace for 32 turnovers. lol
Not so sure about that. My in-laws live in Kenner and I’ve never seen the roads so clear. It used to be hell getting about Kenner and Metairie regardless of the day/time but I breezed down Vets from Clearview to Causeway a few Saturdays back in the afternoon like it was a mid-week morning. My wife even commented on how little traffic we encountered compared to normal.
And in my neighborhood in Mandeville the company that handles our subdivision landscaping was nothing but Hispanic workers for years. Now it’s a mix of white, black and Hispanic workers. More of the former than the latter. I couldn’t believe it when I saw a white guy out on a zero turn. lol
Basically what I’m getting at is I think quite a few have self deported rather than risk apprehension. Probably at least 1:1 ratio if not higher. The amount leaving is likely much higher than the official estimates. Just my small observation.

Herb is awful on offense. Blowing lay ups and free throws.
re: Cell service on northshore.... updates?
Posted by AquaVitae on 3/13/26 at 6:54 pm to Lou Loomis
Completely wrong. Some towers are owned by tower companies who lease to multiple cell companies (usually when municipalities limit where towers can be built) but many are owned and operated by one company. So there is 100% going to be variations in things like in building coverage, places where data lags, etc.
But to answer the OP I’ve had Verizon for well over 20 years and I’ve found that in the last year or so there are way more issues with data coverage. No in building data coverage on most of the lakefront in Mandeville. Doesn’t work inside of restaurants on Dalwhille drive in Mandeville, data totally drops getting off the interstate on exit 57 heading north almost to the roundabout by coquille park, have issues inside of homes in multiple subdivisions near city hall/police station. Total deadspot on 190 between the light at Walmart Neighborhood grocery by causeway approach to almost Lonesome road. That’s just the places I frequent. I’m sure there are more.
Not sure what’s going on but I never had these issues until recently. I’ve recently started to consider T-Mobile because it’s getting worse and not better.

Well their oil was sanctioned and only being sold at a discount to China and Russia. Sucks to be China and Russia right now but for the rest of the world this changes nothing.

Anyone else having an issue logging into pelicans plus to watch the game? I show an active subscription but it says I need one to watch the game. So frustrating.
Edit: must have tried logging in to early. Seems to be working now.

In Mandeville, Aperitif on the lakefront is good for nice cocktails and dinner. Pats rest a while is good if you’re rather have lunch on the lakefront. Barkey Oak is good for an afternoon beer or a drink or 2 after dinner. Away from the lakefront is Pardos. They have a great bourbon selection if that’s your thing. Rubys is about it for later night entertainment.
Downtown Covington has the Southern Hotel that has The Cypress bar and a good restaurant. Also have Tavi which is good for dinner and Covington Beer Garden for beers and burgers if you prefer something more laid back.
Madisonville has some decent restaurants. Social, which is Peruvian and Tchefuncte’s are both good. The Anchor is above Tchefunctes and is a good spot for lunch along the river.
If the misses likes shopping plenty of small boutiques on Girod street and downtown Covington.
That’s all I got off the top of my head.

That’s not at all what was said. First this ruling only applies to 20% of the tariffs. The other 80% remain in place. Second, they left the door open to Trump reimposing them under various other sections…most likely 302. I imagine they will be back in place by the end of the week at the latest.
That gif is kind of fitting since Carl Weathers died today. Much like any hope I had for a decent run to end the season.
That’s just unbelievable. JB needs to be fired immediately. He’s no better than WG.

We have guys missing the rim from 10 feet out. Lol
How the frick do NBA players miss shots that I would get pissed off at my 7th grader for missing? It’s unbelievable how bad we are at shooting.
There is no universe where Dems pick up that many seats in either chamber. The house today is far too gerrymandered for swings like that.

They either give up dunks/easy wide open lanes to drive to the rim or wide open 3s. Sometimes on one defensive possession. I have no idea how they pull it off. Honestly, I don’t know if they could be worse if they were actually trying to be worse. It’s actually kind of impressive how bad they are on defense.
re: Axios is trying to say Trump is losing independents because of deportations.

Heres the thing. 40% of “independents” are hard core cheering this, 40% of them are hard core against it and 20% of them don’t actually give a shite one way or the other…but if you poll them they will give you a different answer depending on if they had their morning coffee and what song was on the radio. Those 20% of people are less likely to vote in a midterm and, if they do, it will be based on their pocketbook. Immigration will be a 3rd or 4th order issue for these people. For most people actually.
Not to mention inflation has taken off. The Iranian Rial is now 1,450,000 to 1dollar. It was 1,000,000 to 1 dollar in December. An interview with an Iranian pensioner mentioned his monthly pension payment now lasts 10 days. Very few regimes can survive that kind of economic collapse.

Of course this is the game I’m taking my family to. FML
Good thing we taking the whole offensive staff then.
The kid is making 3M per year and flipped at the last minute for that money. He loses the “just a freshman” argument due to that 2 facts. You pull stuff like that you better play with you’re worth it or expect the criticism.
