His Dad sounds absolutely SOLD on LSU, but going to play the process out a bit.

This guy is the real deal, but Nuss is a really solid one to keep an eye on

If LSU ends up with his commitment, I can’t imagine O allows him to pull a Franks in December. Having said that, they can’t stop recruiting other qbs like they did with Franks either.

Franks in no way compares to Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams is a real deal 5 star. I wouldn't worry about him being a bust like Franks.

He wasn’t referencing Franks being a bust, he was referencing being a commit that bailed shortly before signing day.

pull a Franks

That’s the best part about DC kids. You don’t have to worry about the big instate school suddenly taking him.

well it is a given that a commit can bail before signing day. Anybody that has ever followed recruiting already knows that. We even had a couple do that in this recruiting class as everyone knows. Of course. I don't even see why you would compare Caleb Williams to Philipe Franks. They are on whole different levels from each other.

Williams is absolutely not going to commit until December. He will want to see how the offense is run this coming season.

1 year of offensive greatness (greatest of all time) has certainly started to change the negative stigma regarding past LSU offenses but with Brady leaving, the best QBs in the nation that are considering us will want to see consistency.

This is in no way a knock on Ensminger. I think it’s unrealistic to expect to LSU have 50+ passing TDs and average that many yards and points every season going forward but as long as the philosophy, scheme stays the same then there will be nothing to worry about.

When Brady left I was shocked to see how many of our fans downplayed his importance. Dude designed, installed and “helped” call plays that just produced the best offensive season in CFB history and did all that in less than a year. The PGC hire will be crucial.

Do we think LSU might take both Williams and Nussmeier in the 2021 class?

When did he change his commitment plans? This is the first I hear of this.

Fans like myself downplayed it because Sean Payton didn’t jump through hoops to keep him with the Saints. I’m sure the Saints could have put up the money to keep him there if they felt that losing him was going to be a major loss. I’m not at all saying that what Joe Brady did for LSU wasn’t a game changer, but what I am saying is that there are quite a few other Joe Brady’s out there that no one has ever heard of. Plus, I give him more credit with the pass catching programs he installed then the offense. If you go back and watch the 2018 season, and see how many passes Chase and Co dropped that season, it was ALOT! Burrow gets all this credit for being so much better in 2019...I don’t think it was as incremental and everyone says. He actually had a offensive line that could block this year and a receiving Corp that caught everything thrown at them. Joe was great in 18 as well...but you can’t be great with no time to throw and no one but Jefferson that could catch. All that changed in 2019.
