Haha, I guess what’s really sad is that I try and give credence to this site and assume that the majority of it is made up legit fans and who would appreciate a nice story about a genuine guy. But this is really just a 2020 version of a AOL chat room. When I met O, he was a position coach at USC....only someone with absolutely no life and no accomplishments of their own would view that like it was a big deal. I’m truly sorry that your life sucks, I’m truly sorry that your biggest accomplishment was honorable mention all district 20 yrs ago, and I’m truly sorry that you fret over the fact that people have done things that you haven’t. Maybe if your attitude on life was a little better, people would seek you out as well. But clearly it’s easy to see why they haven’t :-). Good day

Haha...just because you clearly live in a bubble. Doesn’t mean the rest of the world does.

In August 2013, I was on a 5:30 am flight to LA out of New Orleans and as I was boarding and walking through the first class section to get to my seat in the back of the plane, I made eye contact with a guy in first class who looked familiar to me and he said hello and I said hello and of course I kept walking to my seat. About 20 minutes after takeoff...I had fallen asleep and this elbow bumps me and wakes me up and As I look up, that same man is standing over me and asks me if I work out, and in joking smart azz nature I said no...I just play a lot of tennis...he belly laughs and sits across the isle from me and we chat for about 2 hours before I finally introduce myself and he introduces himself as Ed Ogeron. I then knew who he was from Ole Miss and I knew he was at USC. By the time we landed, he had told me about his dream to coach at LSU, gave me his cell number and invited me to come workout at USC’s facilities and to come catch a game if I was in town. He never went back to first class. That will tell you the type of man he is...he just enjoys meeting people and he is kind to people that he doesn’t want anything from. Saban and Steele went there because they all are trying to land a recruit. I can promise you, O went there because he wanted to be there and I’m sure enjoyed every minute of it.

Fans like myself downplayed it because Sean Payton didn’t jump through hoops to keep him with the Saints. I’m sure the Saints could have put up the money to keep him there if they felt that losing him was going to be a major loss. I’m not at all saying that what Joe Brady did for LSU wasn’t a game changer, but what I am saying is that there are quite a few other Joe Brady’s out there that no one has ever heard of. Plus, I give him more credit with the pass catching programs he installed then the offense. If you go back and watch the 2018 season, and see how many passes Chase and Co dropped that season, it was ALOT! Burrow gets all this credit for being so much better in 2019...I don’t think it was as incremental and everyone says. He actually had a offensive line that could block this year and a receiving Corp that caught everything thrown at them. Joe was great in 18 as well...but you can’t be great with no time to throw and no one but Jefferson that could catch. All that changed in 2019.

What’s the story with Kyle Edwards? Why would Alabama want him, when I never really heard his name as a target for us?
re: Donte Starks suspended indefinitely

Not stupid at all. He’s being suspended for lack of discipline, not for smoking weed. The weed is the subject of the lack of discipline. Lack of discipline is why we see so many millennials out of touch with reality and also why the NFL is becoming a clown show. When you try and justify breaking rules because of your personal beliefs, you’ve set yourself and your team up for failure.

The offense will take a slight step back..but the skill players are ridiculous and the o-line will be great again.
The real question is Brennan...but given he has only gotten to play with the backups, he’s looked pretty damned good.
Everyone is concerned about Brennan...but I think everyone forgets that it was Brennan taking home the passing awards at the 7/7 camps all over the country in high school. Kids got a cannon for a arm and he’s accurate. They will spend a summer getting his short passing game down and he will be a gamer next season. He won’t be as mobile as Burrow was, but he also won’t under throw open receivers as often, which will make up for lack of mobility.
Must have been his string of NCAA championships that verify that statement. Oh wait.....there’s none! Again....you’re a dumbass!

I do agree with you, but I think the point that everyone is making is that Khalil Mack played for Buffalo, never really heard of him until the combine. Chase Young balls out at OSU and he’s a heisman finalist and projected as the number one player in the draft(he won’t go number one because Cincy needs a QB). So playing on a high caliber team definitely increase your exposure.
That’s not true at all. I directed the first one at your mother. The second one was directed right at you.
Wow...what do you know. The board thinks your a tool. Congrats on being one of our Alum that makes the rest of us look bad.
re: Will Fricking Wade. This dude gets it. Explains why he went off on the team.

You’re
Nice catch
Nice catch
Dale Brown was a great coach. Suck that tiger dick, bitch
No need to bring your mother into this!

Just like I’m entitled to my educated opinion....your entitled to your uneducated one :-).
I can say it again for you if you like? Again I will say 3 NBA players for 4 yrs and couldn’t win a championship! Only here would someone not be willing to look at the facts. Like I said....he was a great guy....he aggressively recruited a buddy of mine in HS, so met him quite a few times during that time...and he was a class act. But I’m not going to give him a pass for not even making the final 4 with that team!

Sorry brother...I was typing at 4am and still groggy. Yes, Chris Jackson. But where your wrong is that if I college basketball player can’t make free throws....that’s exactly the coaches fault.
re: How long will Coach O be able to live off of this title?

The issues with Les were quite different. His fans want to constantly bring up the 10 win seasons. For us season ticket holders who sat there for yrs watching anemic offenses year after year, painfully pathetic clock management, and 4-5 wins of the 10
Every year that could have just easily been loses, we had enough and complained from the beginning about him. In my opinion, it’s not about how many championships we win with O in charge, it’s more about how does the team compete and the excitement of being at the games or being fans at home. Kirby is pulling top recruiting classes year after year and they haven’t won anything....but they are competitive and in the mix every year. That’s what O will be judged on.

Agreed! Dale Brown was one of the greatest college basketball recruiters that existed, but he was a terrible coach. The guy had Shaq, Chris Brown, and Stanley Roberts(2 first rounds and a second round pick) for 4 yrs and couldn’t win a title. That’s a Sunday C’MON MAN....if one ever existed. But had great talent and was a genuinely nice guy, so everyone gave him a pass.
I think you mentioned something about keeping boards on point in recent point to me. Now look at you....hello pot have you met kettle? Now in all do respect STFU!
