Not unless some of our QBs transfer.

Will Wade with the "Strong arse offer" coming to an arena near you. :doublebird:

Same reason we let Warrick Dunn and Marshall Faulk out of state - LSU did not focus on keeping talent in-state. Nick Saban was the change to that, and Ed made it a priority.

Still have Jordan Toles, Mo Hampton, and possibly Devonte Lee at safety. Jay Ward and Ray Jones could play safety too. McGlothen at Safety sounds legit. Corner is loaded with Sting, Ricks, Flott. I think we feel losing Major Burns more than before.

Because we lose McMAth SR, and likely Marshall and Chase, Jontre Kirkland SR as well. That leaves Palmer, Lee, Jenkins, Boutte, Moore and Adams. It is likely Stingley plays a little WR his JR year. We needed to sign atleast 3 for 2020, and not have to rely on true freshmen in 2021. Louisiana is loaded at WR, which is good for the future, but you always have to look 2 years ahead in order to properly keep a roster with depth and talent at the right positions.
I think Clark and Baskerville will be the ILB coming into the Spring. Starks arrived late and didn't play much, but I expect to see him competing for playing time. I really think Clark played better than Baskerville in the little bit of playing time I saw from them last year. I did not see much of Starks last year. :geauxtigers:

He is early enrollee so that shouldn't be an issue.

I see he is being recruited as DL. He expressed on Twitter he wants to play DL, any news on that?

Phillip Webb and Antoine Sampah dropped double digits.
Sampah dropped 55, while Webb dropped 31. Guess bc they didn't choose Bama they were punished. :banghead: :doublebird: Rivals

I anxious to see how high 247 ranks him. I expect Roy and Guillory to get very close, if not to 5 star status.
re: Do you think we can roll out a very similar playbook in 2020?

513 rush to 567 pass - pretty balanced imo. But, I do agree that we will have to run more to set up the pass bc we don't have a coach on the field playing QB this year. Joe's ability to read defenses, make adjustments and communicate with his WR's on option routes and extending plays was what gave this team that extraordinary record breaking offense. The ability to adjust to defenses as the game progresses will still be there, just not at the elite level that the Brady-Burrow-Ensminger-Munoz provided. I think we lean heavy on the run early opening up passing downfield.
He went visit 5 star recruit Maason Smith. Need to lock this kid in ASAP. He is a monster defensive tackle. He could be the centerpiece for another top 5 recruiting class.
Heard Pelini turned down the offer.

Kris was offered the job, but expressed no interest in recruiting.
Not a single 5 star offensive lineman, but the Joe Moore winner for best o-line.

It was ranked #7, but had a ton of talent. The 2019 and 2020 class will be defining classes for Ed. I heard we may be making a run at Zach Evans, Kevin Faulk said he would keep him in line. :geauxtigers:
2017 Recruiting Class
Posted by Jake31773 on 1/21/20 at 12:00 pm
The 2017 recruiting class could go down as the best recruiting class in LSU history. I see 75% of that class on NFL rosters in the next 2 years.

Great post! Nice job, I know this is about as accurate as it gets when it comes to recruiting. I know we don't sign 9 5 star recruits, but when it comes to recruiting and the way the staff approaches recruiting, you go after everyone available and the most talented. I do not remember the last time we signed a 5 star offensive lineman though, that would be nice. Heck, I don't remember the last 5 star D-lineman (Tyler Shelvin probably) but Coaches do a fantastic job of evaluating and developing 3 and 4 star recruits into All-SEC players. :nana: :dude:
He is highest rated 4 star on Rivals. Didn't quite make 5 star. He should be on 247 composite on final rankings.
