I think you have a typo! I believe you meant to type wHiner. Just tried to listen to his long radio interview and geez, what a TOOL!. Talk about a type A+++++++ personality. He can blame Mulkey all he wants to but he comes off as a Blackhawk "helicopter" type dad. If he isn't chasing a bag of money, then I guess his tailing of a Brinks truck is just an accident huh? Sorry to see Bella Hines go, but won't miss a dad like that around the program.

Sadly, this isn't uncommon.

I hate to see her leave but I get it. For her to make a career in basketball, she must play a lot to build a reputation. With the players depth and more being recruited at her position, as a parent you get concerned about her playing time. The problem is, she came to an elite program where you have to be the best of the best to play a lot. Can she develop playing against the best...hell yeah. The question is do you take the risk practicing against the best or go somewhere that you play in the game more (to develop).
Based on my observations during games she played in, I'd say it's best to stay. She will everyday be playing against and coached by the best. Her play shows that she can help at this level and thus will play. I think she progresses into a fine role player.

When people say this do they forget coaches do this shite literally all the freaking time? Yes the grown arse adult gets to lie to the 20 year olds and everything is okay, but let a 20 year old, in the age range where most indecision and impulsivity happens, change their mind on their future plans, and people act like it's some new age thing that shows lack of character.
You play the game how it goes. Sometimes your side wins and sometimes the other side wins.
The difference is a coach is contractually obligated to a school. If they choose to leave, the school has a buyout in place which they can then use to get another coach. If a player decides to hit the portal, you get nothing. Theres no trade, no buyout, nothing. Just an empty roster spot that you weren't prepared to need to fill because you were lied to by the player. College athletics is the only league where a player can essentially be a free agent every single year with no contractual obligations, teams have little to no leverage, and any attempt to provide the school leverage is met with lawsuits.

I was kind of on the fence regarding the liquidated damages clauses in these NIL contracts. Nope, put it in all of them at this point. No more year to year NIL, sign long term NIL deals and someone has to pay the damages if the player transfer.

This is the problem.
If they can't get better transfer rules in place, then they at least need to make a "declaration window" that players must declare in several weeks before the transfer window actually opens. At least that way everyone knows the score and isn't blindsided.

More now than ever before due to new wnba salaries, was her best interest to stay at lsu and receive coaching that would enable her to flourish in the wnba
She can go some places and start and Make some easy money but it will be short term because her game would be limited for the wnba
like the vols or Arizona state….and play no defense
Go watch some old angel Reese interviews- she notes how prepared Mulkey had her for the wnba and nothing was a new experience

Do you really want to get tied up in court with a player who wants to transfer. Did you even think about all the charges and counter charges that will be flung about. Schools need to stay out of court as much as possible. It never ends well. The court is not going to punish a 19 year old kid for their decisions made in high school.

Her Dad is a mess, we'll see how it turn out.
I thought POA was gonna be a beast but forgot all about her sexy self.

Liv McGill PG from Florida would be a nice pickup. She is in the portal with a no contact clause. She kinda reminds me of Alexis Morris and Fulwiley. She averages 22.5 pts 6.1 reb and 6.3 assist per game. She wouldn’t necessarily be a backup type and could play the 1, along side Jada.

Bella is way more talented than Poa.

Do people really care what this female basketball player is doing in the future? Are their lives really that dull that they follow this?
I feel sorry for anyone who does.

And I feel sorry for anyone who drags other people for things they enjoy and invest in. Most of us are fans of all LSU athletes and care about what they do, not just the guys who make millions like you seem to.
Bella will be a loss, but not something that CKM + portal + current team can’t overcome imo
