She’s a good player only means better ones are on the way.

I was listening in when he joined said space. He said she was the most loyal player of her class but the loyalty not being reciprocated by the staff and university. IMO it sounded like he wanted some assurances that he didn't get. He def alluded to his issues being with CM and feeling like Bella wasn't valued by her

quote:When people say this do they forget coaches do this shite literally all the freaking time? Yes the grown arse adult gets to lie to the 20 year olds and everything is okay, but let a 20 year old, in the age range where most indecision and impulsivity happens, change their mind on their future plans, and people act like it's some new age thing that shows lack of character.
If Kim ends up retiring earlier than expected, its not going to be because anything with will wade like people tried to make up. Its going to be because this is the shite that coaches have to deal with in college sports now. A true freshman plays a bunch, is on a winning team with tons of fan support, and is expected to get a ton of playing time moving forward tells the HC that they are staying and then one week later changes her mind
You play the game how it goes. Sometimes your side wins and sometimes the other side wins.

Let’s be real, this actually makes perfect sense. Mr. Hines isn’t the head coach, so ultimately that decision isn’t his to control. Mulkey may have said Bella’s minutes would increase, but you can’t promise or prioritize a sophomore’s playing time when there’s clearly more proven talent ahead of her on the depth chart.
Could Bella have eventually earned that priority next season? Possibly, it would’ve depended on her development and performance. But with the current roster and competition, there were no guarantees. At the end of the day, her transferring is a logical move… we just won’t get to see how it might’ve played out if she stayed

Someone is chasing a bag, and it isnt necessarily Bella.
All it can be. She’s not going to get more visibility anywhere else she goes. I thought she had the tenacity to take a lot of playing time with fulwhily. Must be the money.

Yeah I don’t agree with that.

$$$$$. I mean with Jada, MW, and Fulwiley coming back she couldn't have realistically thought she was going to start.
Yeah I just listened to her dad bitching about it on some Instagram chat sorry something. It is all about minutes and playing time.
It is a shame some parents are the way they are. As much as I hate to say it, good riddance. We don't need his shite-stirring. There is already enough of it from outside sources. Don't need it internally also

Yeah I agree.Anyone who addresses a Hall of fame coach as mulkey .Come on ! A little respect is earned. How about Coach Mulkey?

Have no desire to listen to the guy but yeah, he looks like a fricking loser. Hate to see her go, but if this is the situation where daddy is calling the shots, good fricking riddance.
Bella is a good player but as someone said, she’s not going anywhere and getting the visibility and exposure she’s getting at LSU. She goes to UConn, Texas, or South Carolina, she’s going to be buried much further down the bench than she is here.
What’s daddy-o’s strategy? Have her start at a weak P4?
It wouldn’t surprise me if he thinks they’ll head to Tennessee since they currently have no roster at all, thinking they’d get a big bag and Bella would be a star there. If they are looking to get screwed over, Kim Caldwell at Tennessee could definitely do it.

Another family who just wants something handed to them. Then they’ll wonder why Bella isn’t equipped in the real world when some adversity hits her life. Parents need to stop crippling their kids with this bullshite and encourage them to earn something.

Don't do it, Bella. We love you!

This is very disappointing. She seemed to have that “it” factor. Is this her agent trying to increase his take?
When this has crept into WBB, it’s easy to see why college athletics has lost a lot of what made it special. I’m old enough to remember the pre-social media days and the excitement in the room attending the LSU Recruiting Bash. The anticipation when the moderator walked towards the podium with a sheet of paper in their hand to announce another LOI being received.
Gone forever.

Just like Jada Richard, instead of leaving after FR year and played only 6.7 min/game, she stayed to prove she belonged even though all the other stars ranked ahead of her. She felt she had something to prove, worked hard to improve during the summer/fall, and no one was going to take over starting PG except her. Big fan of Jada.
