Looking to replace a couple hoses and it just seems it is hit and miss finding a good quality Jose that doesn’t kink or leak at the fittings. Even moderate to higher priced hoses I have bought in the past were complete garbage. Anyone have a brand that they swear by?

Every hose I’ve bought in the last 10 years has been complete shite.

they are all short life span, just buy the cheapest one that has the hex style fittings, i find those dont leak on you.

pretty much expect to buy a new hose every 2 years no matter what you spend on them

About 8 months ago I bought a Dramm hose because I saw them used at a local nursery...so far, so good.

Gilmore also makes good hoses.

My craftsman rubber hose has been going strong for over 10 years now. I don’t keep it outside as I store the hose reel in the garage.

I just bought an Ace “Premium” house and it seems good. But only a couple weeks on it now.

Eley products are supposedly pretty good. I bought their ridiculously priced hose reel, but it’s solid.

A buddy of mine has a corrugated metal hose. He also swears by it now. But again, limited use so far.

Anyone try those woven expanding hoses. I always assumed they were garbage but had a few people recommend this one.

Look for the black rubber Continental hoses, they are about the only decent ones a HD or Lowes carry without going online for something. Keeping them in a covered reel or put away out of sunlight makes a difference too.

Neverkink? I think that’s the name. Been good so far, at least 4 years and still no leaks or cracks on it.

Get a regular rubber hose (Goodyear, Firestone, Continental, etc). Don't buy one that makes any promises, because they are all lies. If it says it won't kink, it'll come kinked.

I've got a neverkink that has stayed kinked from day one. Also, they use aluminum fittings that get stuck on the spigot, and you have to heat them up with a torch to get them off. IDGAF about what other posters say, do not buy a neverkink hose

I’ve had this Flexzilla hose going on about 3 years and been pleased with it. Minimal kinking, but it will kink on occasion. Does remain very pliable during cold weather.

Another vote for the Flexzilla. I was skeptical at first, because of how cheap they can be bought off Amazon...but they've worked out great. And we put ours through the ringer at the recreation park- washing down mowers and filling sprayers, etc

I’ve been having the Craftsman black rubber hoses for years, they’re good. Last one I bought was a red rubber hot water hose, I like it just as much. They both can kink but so can the “kink free” ones too.

About 5 years ago Eley hose reels was recommended by a friend. I bought a reel and hose plus a few accessories and they are still preforming flawlessly. Since then I have replaced my other reels and hoses as they break with Eley products. Its sticker shock at first but if you buy one you realize the quality. The wall mount can be installed at any height so no more bending to reel up a hose.

I have a few of my citrus trees over 100' from a water supply so I was combining two hoses to water them. I bought the 150' hose and extra capacity portable reel and now it is no problem to water. It takes 30 seconds or less to unwind or wind up the hose.

Don’t have one of these, but have been considering purchasing 1 or 2 for some time, reviews are flawless, just been to remember the old saying “buy once, cry once”, when pulling the trigger

I had a nice 100’ Goodyear on one hosebib and my daughter ran over it with the lawnmower. Well I didn’t say anything being what the hell ive got a kid that enjoys cutting the grass so I replaced it.

I’ll be damned if she didn’t do it the next week again.
