re: The 2021 CF Open is upon us: What lunacy will Castro drop in our laps?

I'm still fat and weak, but I'm going to attack the foundation workout tonight with the wife. 15 minutes is 900 seconds. I'm going to try to maintain 1 second per jack as long as I can, expecting the bear crawls to take 7 seconds or so each to complete and turn around.
Anyone else here only doing foundation, or am I in the wrong place?

We can talk it here or in the main CF thread, I’ll bump it to the front page,

Definitely not the wrong place. I don't think anyone else is doing foundation but I did scaled and it was a bear.

You ready for TTB in 21.2?
Amber programmed them tomorrow.

Sure, whatever the scale is I'm ready
I had the vaccine Sunday and it knocked me for a loop the last couple days. Should be back tomorrow.

Wife and I just did the foundational workout. Her score was 209, mine was 335. I'm 6'0, 230 - 3 months into a legitimate exercise program, she is similarly unfit and is just easing into a consistent program. We're both a little embarrassed, lol. I never thought stupid jumping Jacks could end up being so painful. Oddly enough, for both of us it was in the arches of our feet.

I'm 6'2 260 and have been doing crossfit since 2017 and still scale about 95% of the workouts, so don't feel embarrassed. Everyone starts somewhere, and not everyone will be an elite athlete. I do it to keep healthy and because I like the challenge....sometimes

I’m benching today.
There won’t be bench in 21.2 so I won’t be screwing myself up with 100 box jumps, 80 SA DB Push Presses and 60 TTB.

Expectation for 21.2 is a redo of 15.1 & 15.1a.
That Open event was Froning & Fraser HTH. In rehearsal yesterday, Castro was pictured wearing a Froning hat and a Fraser shirt while holding up two fingers in each hand; he held those same hands up in 2015.
15.1 9min AMRAP
15 TTB
10 Deadlift 115/75
5 Snatches 115/75
15.1a
..at the 9 min mark you have 6 min to achieve a 1RM Clean & Jerk

I hope so. More my speed than 21.1. That sucked for me.

Yes. This is much more my style. I’ll post a good time for this.

Whats a "good time?" I'm going to do it probably tomorrow morning because I'm traveling this weekend? Probably 13 minutes or so?

Justin Medeiros did it in 10:01 tonight so if you can beat that you’ll be in the games

Well I definitely can't go that fast, but I think I should be able to come in pretty well under 15, but I won't know until I do it I guess.

Yeah anything sub 15 is going to be really good. I wasn’t doing Crossfit in 2017 so I don’t have a previous score, but a guy that I feel I’m comparable to just posted 14:12, so I should fall around there somewhere.
I crush box jumps.

Man, I hated it in 17.1 and will hate in tomorrow night.
The jacked military dude beat Sam Kwant’s time and he never sped up until his last round of burpees. His snatches and BBJOs where the same speed until the final 15 reps,
Based on those times from 2017, I have a time in mind, I’ll just have to prepare better for it. I wanted to puke both 21.1 attempts due to eating late before the first attempt and drinking too much before the 2nd.

I don't remember my time, but need to go check BTWB.
May do this one at home in the garage since have the resources.
I stopped watching the military match up about halfway through. The female was crushing it and dude was way more methodical due to struggling more. He was built like a house and all lower lumbar on the snatches. Crazy he beat a guy that was on the podium last year in the CFG.
