Sweating When Working Out

In the past couple months I have gotten into working out at the gym. I'm 44 and prior to this I've been a runner/jogger for years. I'm used to sweating pretty quickly into activity and being totally drenched by the end.
Is it normal to go through whole workouts in the gym and not really sweat at all? Or is it a sign that I need to do more weight or reps or add something? Is it as effective if you aren't sweating?
Sorry, I'm still pretty new to all of this and am starting to enjoy it but this has me wondering.
TIA

I only sweat when doing HIIT, emoms, or amraps. I don't sweat when doing a normal strength routine. Most of the guys I workout with are the same.

Cardio’s a different story but I’d be totally dry if not for wearing a hoodie while lifting. It only comes off after high rep sets of squats or deads. I’ll usually have a bit of visible sweat on my t-shirt under the hoodie but the hoodie is not wet.

Back when I worked out in a gym with A/C, I'd still sweat. Naturally, the severity depends on the workout level. I've been in CF for eight months now, and it's defcon 1 level of sweat, especially now that summer is here.
Yesterday, did 5 rounds of a 600m run followed by 10 reps of clean and jerk. I was pouring sweat. Love it though.

Air conditioning will help take care of some of the sweat in the gym. I know when I run and don't wear clothes I'll be drenched on a hot summer day. Winter runs I'll sweat only after I get in the car/house after the temperature inside goes up.
For cardio you're going to be much more acclimated to sweating less on your workouts, from what I've noticed.

This.
I sweat my arse off doing legs. I'll sweat some doing back...but pretty much come out dry for everything else.
Cardio is a different story.

I'll sweat for chest, back, and legs. I'll only sweat doing shoulders or arms if I am supersetting them.

I sweat profusely while working out but I am also pushing myself fairly hard in order to get out of the gym in a decent amount of time.

has absolute zero bearing on quality of a workout

This. Bulgarian split squats and deadlifts have me sweating until I get home.

If I’m in A/C I’m not sweating.
Nothing wrong with that though.

How do your neighbors feel about this?

I sweat while lifting, but I have a garage gym and try to keep my break between sets around 90 seconds. Keeps the intensity up.

That ain't no shite, especially if I'm doing heavy 3-4 rep max back squats.

Sweat has nothing to do with how effective a workout is.
I've squatted 405 lbs for 10 reps and not broken a sweat.
I've done arm superset workouts that had me sweating balls for some reason.
If his weights are going up progressively, why would he worry about sweating?

You're right, but only partially. We sweat to cool our bodies, but when we lift weights, we don't necessarily overheat, so not everybody sweats during weightlifting exercises. However, when you overstimulate your muscles for a long period, they can overheat, and then you have to sweat.
And just to clarify the myth: when we sweat, we lose water, not fat.

That is absurd. I rode my bike today in 80 degree weather. It took me nearly 10 minutes averaging 275 watts before I started to noticeably sweat. The amount someone sweats differs wildly from person to person.

I sweat a ton with any workout I do, especially in the summer. Still sweat bullets doing legs in the gym with AC too. I think it’s just different for everyone

This time of year I sweat going out to the mailbox. I used to weigh before and after running and it was sometimes 7 lbs of water loss.
