They want their time off that starts tomorrow if they end the shutdown.
If not, no way they off for a couple of weeks while the government is shutdown.
Go back and watch the video again. The crash happens and you see the top of the truck turn into the driveway. The crash happens, then the truck turns in. The vehicle that turned left into oncoming traffic did it to avoid hitting the truck, no the charger.
If you have Life 360 on your phone, it typically tracks routes and the speed driven. Go see if it's there and get a screenshot before it goes away.
Personally, I think you ask your son what he and his wife would like. If they want ya'll there, go, if they say wait till we are ready, then you know what to do. Let it be the new parents decision and do what they ask.
And if all else fails and you possibly put too much seasoning, keep tasting them. When they taste how you want them to, pull them out. They soak up the seasoning as they sit in the water so you can control it. Now the fixings, you better be on top of or you will have people spitting fire with the corn and onions.
How does the weight compare to the black iron version? Would you say it's half? Black iron is awesome, but many as you said toting around especially when you need to do some things by yourself can be a real pain!
Here's something that we started doing and found great success. We boil very often, like 20+ times a year.

When we are starting the water and will just have fixing in the water for a bit (because things like the potatoes and all need to boil for longer than the crawfish), we put only half the seasoning that we will use once the crawfish and everything is included. We boil those first fixings for what I would guess is about 10 minutes on a very low roll boil (wait for the water to come to a boil before adding the fixings, don't put anything but the lemons in the pot until the water comes to a boil).

At this point, we remove the fixings and get the water back up to a good rolling boil and add the remaining seasoning we intend to use. Put only the crawfish in and wait for the water to come back to boiling after the crawfish are added before putting the fixings back. Then we "boil till they peel good and soak till they taste good." Take the fixins out after soaking for just a bit and if you can try things in the fixings, even better.

We purposefully over season the water and control the taste by removing when stuff tastes like we want it to rather than timing things.
What does he mean that "for our government, a very costly event?"
Can we get him to get the feed back to where it can be chronological based on when posted?

Mosquito Control for a Party

Posted by MotorbikeMike on 11/27/24 at 10:45 am
Hey everyone!

We are having a pretty big Christmas party at our house next weekend and the mosquitos have been absolutely terrible right around dark and a bit after. Someone told me about some granules that you can spread around your yard to make a barrier, but he couldn't remember the name. He claims it really worked for a party he was at where outside of the barrier they were all over but inside there were little to none.

Do any of you have any experience with something like this?
The current signs are being replaced soon by signs more like these (interstate style). Not sure what is taking so long to get them, but they are supposed to be on the way.

I am pretty sure when the project was announced a couple of years ago it was said it was to ease access of emergency vehicles for a quicker route to the hospital. Not saying I agree or disagree, just saying the proposed purpose.

What y’all thinking? Will it be announced tomorrow?

Nicholls has a prominent alumn that has pledged to donate $10,000 per point to Nicholls Athletics for ever point that they score against LSU. Even a touchdown will go a long way to help the funding of the athletic department.
Very true! It won’t be cheap.
The flights for Vegas were gonna be $1,600 a couple round trip. Nashville is around $300. So right off the bat, there’s a big difference before we start spending any money.

LSU vs USC in Nashville

Posted by MotorbikeMike on 8/6/24 at 5:28 pm
We have a group that was originally planned to go to Vegas and go to the game, but the flight prices ended up going up so fast on the first day that it wasn't feasible for some of our group.

So we changed our destination and will be going to Nashville and hope to find a bar to setup in and watch the game. (We will be spending less on the whole trip than we would for just the flights to Vegas.)

Do any of you have suggestions as to a good place to scout to watch the game?

Sweating When Working Out

Posted by MotorbikeMike on 6/18/24 at 8:46 am
In the past couple months I have gotten into working out at the gym. I'm 44 and prior to this I've been a runner/jogger for years. I'm used to sweating pretty quickly into activity and being totally drenched by the end.

Is it normal to go through whole workouts in the gym and not really sweat at all? Or is it a sign that I need to do more weight or reps or add something? Is it as effective if you aren't sweating?

Sorry, I'm still pretty new to all of this and am starting to enjoy it but this has me wondering.

TIA
