I am about a year into these plans, love them. Added about 15-17 pounds since I started

Trying to get a little more of a shred. Wondering if I need to start running a day or 2 per week. What do y’all recommend for cardio to accompany these plans?

Walk, don't run. You need to cut calories out to lose fat. Get your daily walking in, increase your daily step count at a steady rate, week after week, but your biggest focus should be on maintaining a caloric deficit.

Do you enjoy running or do you feel you just need to add cardio to help with weight loss? Are you training for a sport? Just some questions for when people ask about adding running. Caloric deficits are going to be king here to get/keep things going. Walks (10k steps) are good, rucking is good, 10-15 minutes of hiit are good too. Depends on what the purpose is.

Don’t care what the cardio is, just want to thin out my midsection a little. Thanks to these plans, My chest and shoulders have never looked better, just want to clean it up a little.

Abs are made in the kitchen, not the treadmill

Agree, I trained and ran a half marathon last year while running this program and didn't cut fat out of my midsection like I wanted to. Cut the sugar in your diet first and see how that helps. Start with alcohol.

Looks like he's dropping another program Monday, Summer Stacked. PPL program, wonder how it's going to be different than Pump City. Maybe more strength focused than hypertrophy, but I'll grab it.

Called an audible and started Summer Stacked instead of Strongville today. Snagged it yesterday. Def feels like an intensity program. He suggests using a true max or 97% tm if you’re training 3-4 days a week. I’m using 97% let’s see how it goes.

Skipping the last 4 days of Sport Strength get right into Summer Stacked. 32 days of Sport Strength highly recommend that program.

I’m jumping in. First PPSA program and doing Summer Stacked. My new office has a really nice gym, so trying to take advantage of.

Day 1 feels good.

Finished up Jacked Up Joker this week. Not my favorite program but glad i finished it and i think it was good program for what i needed to accomplish this month. Had 21 straight night shifts at work and needed something that wasnt super demanding after working a 12 hour night shift. It wasnt quite as easy as i thought it was gonna be though, but not having any deads was big. Feeling a little beat up for the first time ever after completion of a program, its ALOT of barbell bench and tons of shrugs. Started to get a bit of tennis elbow and wrist ache by week 4. Got nice results in the shoulders from all the shrugs and bench and also the legs from squats 2-3 times a week. Will probably try to up my bench to 290 for the next program.

Going to take a 3 day break and jump into either summer stacked or arm farm Monday. Did arm farm last summer and enjoyed it. Summer Stacked is the new shiny toy but i didnt care for pump city. Will decide this weekend

Might be a good time for a three times a week program like summer stacked.. will give you plenty of rest in between training days.

nothing wrong with pulling back or taking a break when your body is telling you it needs it!

Curious if there are any programs y’all have enjoyed more to do on a cut/calorie deficit than others? Also trying to decide on number of days per week. Feeling rested and no pain so good from that perspective.
