First day was good. The low % of 8 sets of bench press went by slow with the rest included.

Summer Stacked day 1 felt great. I super set the bench with the OHP to speed it up sine I was late getting to the gym and I also did triceps bench pushups from Benchuary instead of EZ bar skull crushers. Felt great today.

Finally in the last week of Garlic Milkshake. This is my first time on a 3 day/week plan. I'm not going to lie, the extra rest day a week is nice.

After focusing on bench for ~10 weeks (and getting sick in the middle of that), I was pleasantly surprised how quickly my squat recovered. Today ended with 1@97% (on squat and bench) and it moved great. Deadlifts on the other hand have not been pleasant. I'm not looking forward to them on Friday. Starting week 4, I noticed either missed reps and/or a breakdown in form. The plan alternates between traditional and sumo deadlifts; so far I'm not a fan of sumo deadlifts.

As of now, I plan on running Hypertrophy next. Moving my bench TM up, deadlift TM down, and not sure if I'll hold or go up slightly on squat.

Day 2 of Summer Stacked was awesome.

5x3 of deadlifts took me a minute, but I flew threw the rest. Drenched in sweat coming back to work.

Day 6 done and had to take a minute to recover. High volume legs always get my heart going. Decided to increase weight on the split squats to 45's. even at 135 the 20-rep squat spiked my heart rate. Running it 4 days a week so either PPLP or PLPP and a 97% TM. Next week is going to be interesting with 92% on bench which is 240.

*edit
Really like how compact this program is. I had asked earlier about a program I can run since we're expecting, and I think I've found it. Really loving the program right now.

Day 3 done. Sheeeesh.

I had to cut it short because I had to get back to work, but that was a long one. I'll have to remember to start much sooner on leg day if they all are this long. 5x5 on back and front squats took a lot out of me.

Legs are always going to get you. Summer Stacked Days 7- 9 completed. Day 7 really hammered the chest and triceps but enjoyed it. Day 9 seems like leg day hits the hardest especially as it gets hotter so I might need a bring a banana or something since I usually like training fasted, which so far has been a poor idea.

Halfway through Summer Stacked, Day 12 which is a leg day. Really like the program so far. Will rerun it after I finish and will move into the main rotation after baby arrives. Leg day is always intense, squat, front squat, bulgarians and KB swings, but feeling good and heading to the pool now. Have a good weekend baws.

halfway through Summer Stacked enjoying the switch up to a PPL. Intense yet not quite as taxing as his usual full body approach imo. Will hit legs or back super hard yet feel pretty refreshed the next day with less CNS fatigue than some of his other programs.

Hey man. Wanted to say thanks again for introducing PPSA to the board, I’ve been his programs since and love them. Question, found out Friday that I have a 5mm excursion in my left meniscus and most likely a tear; did this playing golf of all things. I’m currently doing summer stacked and was hoping to get your input on subbing deads with chins as I can’t pull from the floor without my knee screaming. Thanks again

Just finished day 9 of Summer Stacked. I was doing squats for damn near an hour. My legs were on fire after that drop set of 1x10 at the end.

I'm really liking this program so far, but its still second to Arm Farm, but it is a close 2nd.

Anybody ever experience distal bicep tendinitis? I’m self diagnosing soreness on top of my elbow on both arms. It’s always sore and sharp pain when I pick up heavy things or lift. I’ve been just ignoring it but probably should do something about it.

Is it on the outside of the elbow? Do you have pain on the outside with wrist extension?

On top like right where the vein is where they draw blood or give you an IV. I think the main culprit is pull-ups. I have dealt with that on the side before , tennis elbow, but this is different.

Aaron just dropped a new plan on his website. "Strength on the Go" has DB only days, KB only days, Upper Pull/Upper Push/Total Body , Etc. Honestly perfect for someone who is a dad or travels a lot like I do with my job these days. Went ahead and bought it for when I am stuck in a hotel or only able to train 1-2 days in a week.

This looks awesome

I haven't done PPSA for a couple of months now purely for time related reasons (been trying lower volume) - this might be the trick
