Man for the past five weeks, I’ve had the worst sinus issues.. everything from itchy eyes, runny/stuffy nose, small sinus headaches, sneezing, etc.. in that time frame I’ve gone to the doctor twice, gone through a round of antibiotics and then a z pack, but I still feel the same. Some days my sinus are 100% blocked. On rare days, I feel fine until nighttime. I’ve tested negative for the flu, strep, AIDS, and covid

I've tried all the home remedies. I give up. This has been borderline miserable for a month now so I’ve come to TD for answers. Any suggestions other than my impending death??

When I trained hard for triathlons, I always got them. A Z-pack and antibiotics would clear it up, but it'd be back quickly if conditions were right....and they always were. Like once a month I was reduced to mouth breathing. Now that I'm not running my body down so hard, I don't get them at all. Are you getting good rest and recovery? I know a lot of H&F board members can train hard relative to the normal person.

I had the same thing a couple months ago. Unfortunately, it took months to clear up. I finally gave up trying to solve it, nothing helped.

Tomorrow will be 5 weeks for me with the same shite. It’s more in my ears than anything and I’m pretty sure it actually ruptured my ear drum. It’s been awful.

Have you tried a sinus rinse, like a Neti Pot?

Hold up, you took an AIDS test because of sinus issues? I swear I'm not being a dick but this just made my morning.

The second time I went to the doctor, she told me I had an ear infection, which didn’t make any sense to me whatsoever, because my ears have never bothered me

… no I didn’t. I forgot I wasn’t on the OT. AIDS is their diagnosis for everything

I took Amoxicillin then got a decadron/rocephin injection and omnicef antibiotic. Didn’t do shite. Also tested negative for flu and Covid.

I used the netti pot thing but my nasal area is not that stopped up so I didn’t get much relief from it.

I dunno but if y’all figure it out lemme know.

There's definitely something going around. I use saline spray twice a day and FloNase once a day, which usually helps move things along.

I have the same stuff too. I assumed it's seasonal allergies. Any advice is appreciated.

Sucks for you. I got vaxxed and don’t even have sinuses anymore.

Now that I got that joke out the way, what is your sleep pattern like?

“You have Covid and just tested too late for it.”
From my doc. He said sinus and cold season issues are now pretty much all Covid. That Covid has been around for so long and has so many variants that it’s just morphed into the seasonal crud.

Don’t know. But that would explain why it’s hanging around for so long.

Seems rational. I haven’t had any fever or any other crazy symptoms

I’ve dealt with ‘seasonal allergies’ my whole life. I’ve NEVER felt this bad for this long. Never
