re: Crave Baton Rouge - Dtiger19 on 5/28/21 at 9:31 am
Went once when it opened and will not be back. Got a brisket plate and it was the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Sliced paper thin with no flavor. The whole menu is weird, there’s nothing on there that I really want to try. Whoever said it’s like baseball concession stand food is spot on. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Boat engine trouble - Dtiger19 on 8/16/20 at 5:40 pm
Boat quit on me this weekend, strong smell of gas when I tried to restart it. When I trimmed the motor up gas was leaking everywhere. After priming it and trying to start it a few times I pulled the cover and gas was standing in it. Eventually it started and I limped back to the landing but gas wa...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
Op, If you want to target trout in September I’d probably try somewhere else. It’s very meh for trout but late September the reds will start getting thick in the passes.
Thanks for the info. re: Denver restaurants and breweries - Dtiger19 on 6/27/20 at 2:38 pm
Thanks for all of the recommendations. Is there a store Or bottle shop with a good beer selection near the airport or red rocks trail? We’re planning on going straight from the airport to hike red rocks and would like to pick up some beer on the way. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
Denver restaurants and breweries - Dtiger19 on 6/26/20 at 6:46 pm
Heading to Denver for a few days in July, what are some good places to eat and drink? Planning on Odell, Cerebral and Black Project but are there any others I should go to? Also, not looking necessarily to eat and drink at a brewery. Definitely need a good sushi recommendation. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (7)
No joke, he might have preferred Seaside, because it is more of a conventional tourist beach experience.
Nah, beaches aren’t really my thing at all. I was exaggerating when I said San Diego or Malibu. We actually loved the Cape Lookout hike near Tillamook along the beach. Oregon was...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Portland, OR - Hiking and Beach Recommendations - Dtiger19 on 5/9/20 at 7:55 pm
We were there Labor Day last year. A lady that worked at the hotel we stayed at in Portland told us she’s seen the sun in that area maybe twice in her 12 years of visiting that area from Portland. She said the only reason she goes there is because she has a friend that lives there and she visits eve...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Portland, OR - Hiking and Beach Recommendations - Dtiger19 on 5/9/20 at 2:34 pm
I have no idea how anyone likes Cannon beach. It’s gloomy, cold, rainy and depressing. My wife, who loves the beach, said let get the frick out of here. I thought we just had 2 bad weather days but the people there said nope this is how it is, maybe the sun will come out around 2. Cape Lookout in Til...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
