We just got back from the bourbon and beyond festival. We stayed in Frankfort Thursday and Friday before heading to Louisville Saturday and Sunday. We did tours at Castle & Key, Buffalo Trace and Whiskey Thief. All three tours were really cool much better than I was expecting. We also went to Woodford Reserve, Glenn’s Creek and J Mattingly. If you’re going to be in that area you can probably still book something at whiskey thief. It’s really laid back and they give you a glass and let you taste pours straight from the barrel at your own pace. The Stave is the bourbon bar and restaurant to eat at in the area, it’s ok but the bourbon is extremely overpriced.
Illuminated vs non illuminated scope

How important is an illuminated reticle for deer hunting? Primarily box stand hunting with shots under 150 yards. Trying to decide if the extra $200 is worth it. Choosing between a Trijicon Accupoint 3x9-40 and a Leupold VX3 hd 3.5x10-40. The Leupold without firedot is $500 vs $700 for the Trijicon and the Leupold with firedot.

It’s good but the price is high. Probably doesn’t help having Chic Fil a, whataburger and McDonalds next door to you either. I think most people are choosing one of those over Atomic burger the majority of the time.

I have a Savage Axis 30-06 I’m possibly looking to sell. The gun has never been fired and has a Nikon BDC 3x9x40 scope on it. The scope was purchased new, mounted and bore sighted at Bowies. The Weaver scope that came on it would go with it as well. What would be a fair price and best place to sell it?
I’m interested in this too. Entered the lottery for the heck of it.
