Tell him you are the paying customer, it’s your health and you demand it. frick him if he says no, it’s not his god damn ball, it’s yours

That shite just pisses me off thinking about it.

That’s the nice thing about private healthcare. It’s a service and you as a customer are entitled to receive the services you request for.

Just think about all of the poor fricks in the UK who get turned down for trying to get cancer treatment because the NHS has to ration their treatment sources towards people who they think need it the most

Relax baw. It sounds like you're taking the necessary steps. Like everyone else said, go to the GP and get them to order imaging. Hell if it is cancer, you can't rule out winning the Tour de France 7 consecutive times.

I had a similar thing at a similar age and it turned out to be a varicocele. Nothing life threatening at all, but it did lead to some fertility problems. Luckily we still managed to have a couple kids after fertility treatments. Good luck, if it’s anything serious I’m sure you’re catching it early enough.

Cysts seem to be pretty common. Definitely get it checked out for peace of mind. I have a pea sized lump in my left shoulder. Dr said it was just a cyst. I told my daughter I got shot with a BB when I was a kid and it's stuck in there. I had one on my back once. It eventually started to be externally visible. Had it removed and it was like a damn iceberg underneath. Just a cyst.

Does your insurance require a referral? I had one last year and just went straight to the urologist - took him 45 seconds to promise it was not cancer and some slight epididymitis.

If that happened to me I’d probably let it ride and see what happens. Women have like a million medical options for whatever headache or whatever is wrong with them that day but the one time a man goes to the doctor in his life the doctors answer is to cut his nuts off

I had one, got scared, and it ended up being a calcium deposit. I will tell you, the gell they use with the ultrasound is fricking cold.

Hope this turns out ok for you OP

My dad had testicular cancer so I’m at a higher risk

Never had any issues until last year when I had an epidymitis flare up. Didn’t know what if it was at the time and had a urology appt and ultrasound and was scared to death bc I met all the prerequisites basically at high risk, age, family history, you name it

However my epididmytis flares up pretty regularly now and there’s not much they can do about it so I just take some ibuprofen and ice my balls and get some relief that way

But good you’re getting it checked out

Cancers in woman are more politicized and have more celebrity support compared to male-specific cancers. They are able to raise more money through fundraisers which helps fund more research for cures and newer treatments. It’s sad but that’s the world we live in now

It seems like there’s a strong genetic component to TC, based on what I’ve read from people who had it.

Likely it’s not cancer .If it is TC has very high cure rate,5 year survival is 99%.
I have a cousin that had it and metastasized to his liver, chemo cured him.
It’s been at least 15 years ago and he’s still doing fine.

It’s probably nothing, but my hypochondriac arse thinks the worst case scenario and that it’s a malignant tumor. I don’t know why but I’ve had this mentality for a long time

I was exactly like this from 13 to 21, and Paxil worked miracles. People like to shite on SSRIs but for me it changed my life. Downsides suck, but better than getting that “blood runs cold” feeling because a new symptom appears and it’s cancer or something else debilitating.
Also had a lump and was a vericocele.

One day I noticed a had a marble sized lump on top of my left nut. I didn't wait for an appointment with GP. It freaked me out as it wasn't there the day before. Turns out to be a:

Spermatocele. This fluid-filled sac in the scrotum is often above the testicle. It tends to be painless. And usually, it's not cancer. A spermatocele also is known as a spermatic cyst or epididymal cyst.

They told me no treatment is required unless it becomes painful or very inconvenient. After removal of the cyst, this type sometimes comes back anyhow. So I'm living with a large left nut and normal right nut.

It’s really messed up how modern society is set up to demoralize us

Like we had a good thing going, we’d get to go out for days and hunt mammoth and just be dudes while the women did something that didn’t matter like pick berries. Then some idiot invented agriculture. I’d even prefer a regression to like 50 years ago to now. Swing a pick for 30 years and then die of mesothelioma at 56 like a real man instead of the doctors cutting pieces off of me til I’m 90 and the nursing home people making me fight on worldstar

But yeah when women go to the doctor it’s like health at any size and we got this new woman medicine for your fake disease but when men go it’s just like stop drinking stop eating steak
