Get back to maintaining a low carb / keto lifestyle for both fat loss as well as mood / energy. More consistently riding my Peloton as well (have been primarily running / incline walking since gyms re-opened).

My diet has not been up to par the last ~18 months leading to some (not excessive) weight gain. I've also seen an uptick in my anxiety and mild depression / lethargy (finance job in NYC not being a help there).

Based on past history, cleaning my diet back up will greatly help me get back on track both physically and mentally.

1. sober living
2. Get better at squat form and technique, rely on leg press way too much
3. start deadlifts. always looked fun.
4. Drop BF %to ~12-14. at around 15-16 now (guesstimate)

You clearly have the endurance if you can run. 94 minute half. You need to work on speed. If you have access to a track, run repeat 400s at mile race pace and 800s at 5k race pace If not, try tempo runs and fartleks. You should be able to hit both goals this year. Please update when you succeed!

Cut 25 lbs of fat
Swim every day when weather permits even if it's not a workout
Get bench up to 225 x 10 (I don't max anymore)

No beach diet this year.

Had issues last 2 years with losing job, gyms closing, covid, back issues.

Going to put some mass back on, get workouts back in order.

Then I'm going get blood work done. Thinking about TRT. Just turned 44.

I fell like a just fell off a cliff last couple years. Tough to even look at myself in mirror.

I've went progressively downhill the last 3 years. I'm currently around 255lbs at 5'11. I've been overweight/obese the last 7 years (was 235 up until 3 years ago and it piled on more).

Had a roommate commit suicide while I was in bed back in 2015. Since that time things got progressively worse, and I began to hit the herb on a daily basis. That led to binge eating and eventually type 2 diabetes.

All that said, my big goal is to get my A1C down and in control to not need medications any longer. I think I can do it if I get my weight back down around 220 or a bit lower (going to be hard to do, but it's doable).

Little update: I'm down to 242lbs, and as of last week my A1C is down to 5.6. This was a major motivator to continue down the road cleaning myself up and getting right.

Mainly cleaned up my diet. I try to track everything with My Fitness Pal. Increased my protein intake. For exercise, I just started getting active in general. I walk more, and I started some basic bodyweight exercises with a day or two of basic yoga movements.

My joints had gotten to where they didn't feel like I could do too much so I wanted to start slow. Flexibility has always been a bad area for me, so I'm going to make it a priority going forward since I'm not getting any younger.

I think here soon, I may transition over to more of a workout routine (LP or something that 777 has suggested in many threads).

What are your fitness goals for 2022?

Gains.

I lost 42 pounds over a year ago and since have been on a roller coaster of ups and downs, cutting and bulking. Screw it. I’m packing on the muscle and will cut later.

Bump since we are nearing year end…

1. Came very close in running a 90:05 half
2. Hit this one in running a 39:31 10k

How did everyone else do with their 2022 goals?
