Probably the Accelerate 5” short. Those are super comfy and one of my preferred running shorts. Also retail for only $30 but are routinely on sale or BOGO at the NB outlet. They make a 2 in 1 version with a boxer brief liner too.

Imagine trying to make being a cheap frick into a high status marker. Kind of pathetic.

Its weird. I've done the cheap shorts thing.

Most of them hold sweat, stink, tear up from barbell cycling, or the elastic in the waist doesn't last.

I'll pay $20 more and get shorts that hold up for years no matter how much I abuse them.

Seriously. Plus most places will give you 10-20% of your first order.

I have two pairs of Vuori Kore shorts I bought in 2016 and they’re still going strong despite having been washed at least once a week since I bought them. Well worth the price and if you know where/how to look the price really isn’t an issue.

Whatever bealls outlet leads Ross has. I’ve always done well with that approach. Not in the gym for fashion and they’re all going to get full of swamp arse sweat.
At least this way I can buy new shorts every year without issue.

YoungLA from Amazon. $25 from Amazon. 5", zipper pockets. Only downside is after about a year, the underside of the zipper starts poking through the seam. But hey, $25

sup dawg.

i'm always tempted to buy some of those because of obvious reasons, but just never mess with it.

New Balance and Skora are my current favorite shorts. I have 2 pair of each and I am more likely to grab a dirty pair to run in than get one of my UA, reebok's etc.

Under Armor has some 7in shorts that i just found that I really like. I believe they make them in 5in as well. BCG has some that are very similar in 7in and 5in as well. Id check those out if i were you. The UA ones are on sale right now from $35 down to $26.

I had a pair of lulu's that got damaged in the wash (drawstring ripped).

took a few pictures, emailed them to Lulu, was given a free shipping label to send the shorts to corporate office, and had a gift card for $70 within a week.

you can also find stuff on sale- $40 for shorts, $60 or so for their pants.

These are super durable, no seam too. That’s a must for me.

There are some cool looking brands out there, but they ain’t cheap. I have a hard time justifying spending $50+ on a pair of gym shorts that I’m going to probably holes in after a heavy deadlift session.

I'm usually one to care about men's fashion and good quality clothing, but gym shorts is one article of clothing that I will always go cheap on. They all feel the same to me.
