Thanks all for the information. Dr Naiman and Berg have been great resources.

I forgot to ask about organ meat. I've seen some doctors advocating for it and even that former vegan doctor who suggests raw organ meat.

What kind of organ meat should I be looking at, and how often should I incorporate it in a carnivore diet?

I highly recommend organ meats.

The easiest way is to incorporate in your recipes; essentially hiding it's presence if you don't really enjoy it.

Simplest way is to use US Wellness Meats:

Slap an over-easy egg on a few slices...
Liverwurst, etc

Do you take a multi or anything with it?

Organ meat is not needed. You get everything from regular "muscle" meats. Your body will regulate what you need via cravings. Sometimes I crave fatty short ribs - tonight I actually had a nice New York Strip and shrimp (my fiancee is wonderful). But don't let that stop you. I have personally only dived into heart and liver a tad. Liver is best lightly seared.

No, no supplements. Honestly most are garbage and not absorbed in any significant manner.

If I remember correctly (and I could be wrong) but the fiber story started in the 30's when some British lad traveled down to Africa and found these baws eating fiber and being healthy as an oxe. Their fiber amount? 30 grams a day.

It's like god damn, is drinking so important that you are willing to completely sacrifice health.

You can drink on any diet so long as it meets your macros but it will slow progress.

Though not tonight - even I have lesson the drinking. I found the 10k distance to be my thing these days and frankly I don't like not being 100% each morning. Also trying to increase pull-ups.

Someone is downvoting you with a vengeance. The plant-based food movement people get very offended when people question their established order.

I usually drink beer one night a week either Friday or Saturday. I will drink 4-6 depending on what is going on and haven't found it has affected my weight at all. Actually when I drink beer I usually eat way less so it balances out. (For me anyway)

It doesn’t affect you that much if you eat good and workout. Many guys I work with drink beer like fish, are in their 30s and 40s and look like titans and have all the energy in the world. It’s the one’s that drink beer and eat like shite and sit on the couch all day that need to worry. Some people take diets or excuse me, “lifestyle changes” a little too seriously. Burn energy and stay active, eat in moderation, drink beer in moderation, and we will all die on average in our late 70s just the same and just as healthy as the hard core vegetarians and keto folks.

So I started the diet yesterday.

-16:8 IF (usually 2 meals, black coffee in the AM)
-2+ lbs of meat daily (3+ on leg days)
-Mostly beef, some pork, and going to try organ meat
-Only adding salt, pepper, and olive oil/butter to cook
-Any kind of cramping I will add bone broth or electrolyte supps as I did when staring keto
-Limiting alcohol consumption to bare minimum but straight whiskey otherwise

After 30 days will look to incorporate eggs, avocados, green veggies, etc. and reevaluate after each addition.

Any other advice/suggestions are welcome.

After your 30 days, if you find yourself needing condiments for all that meat, give this a try:

The haters can keep hating. I want people to know there is another/painless way to loose weight.

Been eating 2 tablespoons with my ground turkey ever since I saw Joe Rogan post it on his instagram a few weeks ago. It's fricking delicious.

ETA: actually eating some right now.

Weird request...but would you mind tracking how much you spend during this month?

If I did it i'd do it the same way. 3lbs on lifting days. 2lbs on off days.

Have you seen this in stores anywhere or do you have to order online?

They have it at Sprouts and Kroger out here in Dallas. That’s the only two stores I’ve been to around here.

Probably sold at Whole Foods.
