I've been on it for a month and I already feel better, my eczema has completely cleared up and I've lost 15 pounds (200 to 185). Others I know who have been on it longer say they are in the best shape of their lives. Maybe the food pyramid is wrong and things like seed oils and carbs are simply toxic to humans.

What is the difference between it and Atkins and Keto? They all sound the same to me. Eat all the steak you want, white stuff like rice and potatoes are the devils.

You’ll lose weight just like anytime you cut carbs . But that diet long term isn’t healthy . It’s all protein , fat and salt

You mean the bulk of the human diet from the dawn of time until the late 1980s?

I did it several years back and it was great but I strongly suspect a lot of it was I just ate less. When eating out, it's pretty hard to find stuff to eat so (if you stick to it) you end up with a piece of meat and some veggies and water. Which is better for you and less than 99% of restaurant meals.

I think it has less to do with meat and more to do with the reduction or removal of processed foods, hybridized or domesticated foods, etc. all stuff that wasn’t part of the human diet until about 150 years ago.

Whatever it is, it’s real. Eat as raw and pure as possible -like a caveman- and you’re eating the way your body has evolved 10k+ years to eat.

I would like to try it. I have, however, cut out seed oils since last October and have lost almost 30 pounds in that period. 195 down to 168 and wearing sizes I have not worn in 20 years. Reducing seed oils means cutting out pretty much every processed food. In doing so, I realized just how much I was snacking. It was obscene.

Or, your diet was really a can of shite before and with any improvements you see benefits.

Fad diets are not sustainable... Congrats on the high cholesterol, fatty liver, and gall stones.

Yep. I do it for stretches, but would not do it all the time. I use it to lose weight, then I got to a carb managed diet. Works great.

The body needs complex carbs as fuel to build muscle and for overall health benefits.

But I suspect the people in here doing fad diets and claiming they’re so great are fat as frick and don’t exercise

Didn't mean to trigger you, but I did not suggest that notion.

But high saturated fat and protein while avoiding plant based foods are totally the way to go.

I tried it for 3 weeks.

I had constant shits and my energy levels plummeted. My workouts greatly suffered. I overall felt gross and tired. I did drop a quick 10 lbs though. Probably mostly water weight though since carbs make you hold more water.

I think I'll stick with my normal diet of prioritizing protein, while still eating carbs to a degree.

both are fine and protein should be main basis of a diet

butall this bs on weight loss from cutting this or that...its because you are eating less. like a million studies and meta analysis that show you do not lose body fat at any faster rate from any elmination diet like carnivore, keto, no seed oil, low fat, high carb, low carb, intermittent fasting etc etc etc. if you like eating that away and it helps you stick to the diet...then have at it.

BUT DONT COME ON HERE AFTER A MONTH TALKING ABOUT CARBS ARE TOXIC!! SOUND LIKE A DUMBASS!!

and carbs like potatoes and white rice are great for building muscle and keeping you full as they are 2 of the most satiating foods. two things that happen to be extremely important in the long term for health.

Carnivore is great but my workout intensity suffers tremendously. Adding a little bit of carbs has been a good medium for me. I like to go with either a small portion of potatoes or a banana for the carb portion of my diet.
