Played Victoria National last year the week after the Korn Ferry championship. Still had the rough high and the greens were like glass. 7 index shot a 94, 95, and 96 and played well.

Bethpage Black physically beat me down. You have to walk and it's up hill, down hill. The front nine isn't that bad in terms of difficulty but the back nine is where the fun begins. 10, 11 and 12 go something like 500, 450 and 500 and are all par 4s. I got to I believe 16 and was totally exhausted. Didn't play bad but it was demanding.

Edgewood in Tahoe has kicked my arse many times. I've been going with our group (24-32 players) for 7 years and we play it 3 times every trip.

My index is 14.5, but when I miss the fairway or get in the traps, my score shoots up like a rocket. First round this year, I missed the fairway only twice, but I ended up in the sand on 12 holes and their sand isn't the same as Houston. Shot 96... next day felt like I didn't hit the ball near as well, but was in only 2 traps and shot 89... last year I shot 105 and 88... crazy (we play 2 man scramble for 3rd day)

But I'll go every year that I'm able as the group is so much fun, and the views are spectacular!

We played there on or about July 4th. They were setting up the course for their big celebrities tournament. The course was in great shape and the weather and scenery are spectacular. It’s a fun course for an average golfer.

The bar and grill are good too. Great view ftom inside or outside on the deck. It’s really a nice place compared to BR in July.

For me it had to be Whistling Straits and Blackwolf River. People say Irish is tough but I think I shot 81 or 2 on that trip and if a couple lip outs drop I am on the 70s.

But WS and BW ate me up even though I loved the courses.

It’s the truth. Greens are so quick and the elevation always screws with me.

The island. If I can get past the first two holes. Last time I played I started 4 over after 2. Finished -1 for the round

I’m not suggesting you’re lying.

I’m just impressed that you’ve played one of the most exclusive clubs in the county, and a top 25 in the country, enough times for the grain of the greens to bother your handicap. lol

Didn’t realize the question was about bothering your handicap, but yes, I have played there at least 20 times since the summer of 2020.

The reason for me selecting that was that I do not play mountain golf very well and the extreme speed of the greens and elevation is not something I am use to and usually shoot much over my handicap. With that being said, the rounds I play there do not greatly impact my handicap.

You’re taking my comments way more seriously than I intended them.

Diamond creek is legit and I’m jealous. My smart arse comments are just that.
