Hybrids are a mixed bag for me.

I love the old Ping Anser, Adam's Pro and the Gen 1 PXG.

I struggle with hybrids if I see too much of the face like the newer Pings and others.

I looking for a 23* model that's more traditional and doesn't have a draw bias.

I could never hit a hybrid… after 10 years not using one, I tested the Callaway Paradigm Super Hybrid… and that thing is amazing! For lack of a better term, It’s a hybrid between a wood and hybrid. First hybrid I feel very comfortable using for any reason. Buttery smooth and easy on the eye at address.

I love my TM SIM MAX 29 Degree 6 hybrid.

I’ve debated adding another one, but I also love my TM M2 24 degree 7 wood.

I really believe that the TM M2 line is one of the finest ever inTaylorMade's history.

I have a GT3 that I really like that is pretty neutral compared to most. However, the Callaway Apex UW is the best of both worlds. I have the 17, 19, 21 and 23 degree and swap them as necessary. Great clubs and fun to hit.

Very old Ping G5 4H (22 degree).

Very happy with this club. Can consistently get it 170-180 off tee and deck, and mostly straight.

I have a Titleist GT2 5 hybrid set at 25 degrees…. It’s the perfect rescue do it all club. The thing that made it work for me was replacing the shaft. I bought it with the standard Mitsubishi Tensei Blue shaft because it matched my driver and woods. It was the bridge club between my 7w and 5i. It worked fine but the feeling was off and I just happen to have a Fujikura Axiom Iron 105g shaft laying around and though I’d give it a shot and man it became a much different club. Felt more like an iron but with some heft.

Agreed. I love that thing. I have the 21°. Might get another at 17°

Also have a Mizuno JPX1 at 25° and I really like it too. It goes so high and lands so soft. I could never hit a 5i like that. Feels and sounds a little better than the UW. But the UW is a rocket launcher.

Absolutely.

Ive had M2 fairway woods since 2017.

I’ve changed irons a few times since then, but I can’t take the 5 and 7 wood M2 out of the bag.

I do carry a Cobra LTDx 3 wood.

Sounds like you would like the traditional shaped hybrids with a darker face to “hide” the loft. I don’t think ping, TM, or Callaway really make those (UW shape is great but larger than a traditional hybrid). The Titleist GT2 and GT3 shapes are great but they have silver faces and white scoring lines which will show loft.

Cobra Optm would be my first recommendation. Or the King Tec if you want something smaller but it is really short front to back, like the old Adam’s pros.

Also:
-Mizuno JPX One
-New Srixon RKT looks intriguing

Have had a bunch. My favorite so far is the Callaway Apex. I look for ways to use it.

These rock. This is the year old model and much easier to hit than the current one. Bonus is you can get smoking deals on them online. Bought two from PGA Superstore in Houston at half off originalp rice and they shipped overnight for free.

Cleveland Launcher Turbo Hybrid with graphite shafts are the best I’ve ever used after passing 60 years old.

Not a big hybrid guy,
I was fitted for a Mizuno ST190 CLIK 3 hybrid 22°.
At first, I could not hit it, (MENTAL). After coming to terms with my little brain, I have come to enjoy it and it is great getting out of short rough and landing soft from 200-210. Gives me more height than my MIzuno FliHi 3 utility iron. Forgiving and good distance.
