re: How many of you people have an LSU golf bag? - mikedatyger
That bag in the OP was hideous.
Dude ... Yes, the bag is a bit much. Would rather a black bag with subtle LSU / purple and gold. But, SO WHAT??? It's a matter of context. If you live in a rival state, it's so gratifying to shove P&G down their throats any way you can. Like w...

re: How many of you people have an LSU golf bag? - mikedatyger
Yeah, you're going to get shamed by most of the "fans" on this site. NO jerseys NO team golf bags NO team paraphernalia ... except for games (maybe?) Sometimes it's hard to tell who the LSU fans really are. Kinda like the unwritten rules in baseball. Apparently, there are random, "ominous' r...

re: Is this a hole in one? - mikedatyger
The photo in the OP is not the photo in the Twitter link
Understand, but the answer is the same. From the Rules of Golf, the COMPLETE BALL must be "submerged," or below the surface of the green. Not sure you can tell from either of theses scenarios/photos....

The guys in the one I'm playing are pretty good guys. Most of the players are out for the same thing, an after work escape during...
Thoughts on St Andrews?
Goosebumps. Even my wife, non golfer, appreciated the history and significance. The place is just GOLF. The experience is incredible. It was a fun course. The sand in the bunkers is so different. Hitting out of the fescue is unique. In my opinion, its all...
with little wind and the it was defenseless.
It is not a long course at all. Even for average golfers, if there is no wind or rain, it is gettable. Played in perfect conditions and shot 76. I have lower scores, but this is my best round ever based on circumstances. ICYWTK ... C...

re: Anyone played Grand Cypress - Links Course in Orlando? - mikedatyger
How true does it play to a links style course? Can you putt from fairways? Bump and runs?
Depends on if it's dry or you get rain. The turf is just not as firm as a real links course. If it is dry, yes, it plays pretty similar to a real links course. Practice your short game/putting...
Fun to watch but gimmicky
My only complaint is that is requires a left to right ball flight, and I don't have that. I bogeyed it. ...

re: Anyone played Grand Cypress - Links Course in Orlando? - mikedatyger
Yes, great shape. They have limited play on it, so it will not be beat up at all. The driving range is closed. They have hitting nets. Putting and chipping area are still open. Every time I drive by, I don't see a soul. Fun course. Wide open, but challenging....
