The East and West were perfect as is.

Yep. Shame they did not bring them back.
Wow. On paper this is a loaded Super Regional. No easy outs going forward for sure.
Come on Tigers …. Hold The Rope! :dude:

Paid or actual?

Sort of amusing that we “lead” college baseball in attendance but have SOOOO many no shows. Sad.
Is there a ticket program at LSU where if you know you are not going to show up, you can make your tickets available at the gate or is it just StubHub type resell?

NOT tournament conditions but still challenging. ALSO, we just finished a golf tournament weekend with 36 holes on Saturday, and 18 on Sunday in Port St. Lucie. He drove back to Orlando (2+ hours) and then to Augusta on Monday. I think playing on Tuesday and shooting 98 is pretty damn good considering. I think 86 is his all-time low score and that was at an “easier” course here in Orlando – Eagle Creek. Yes, I’m sure the greens were not Masters level, but they are still tricky for most golfers.

Point is:
Average golfer in tournament conditions will probably NOT break 100.
Average golfer in member conditions can break 100.

Golf Scores at Augusta

So, before the Masters, there is always a post about about how weekend warriors would do at Augusta.
My buddy Jack works the Masters every year and gets to play every May. It’s members tees and I’m sure it’s nowhere near as tricked out, but still …. Jack has an 18.1 HDCP with a scoring average of 92.8.
Shot 98 and he has done better, but has not broken 90 at Augusta.

and yes, Gary is REALLY bad.

Only 4 teams have score more than 8 runs in the championship game since 2003. Only two of those have scored 10 or more (both where LSU teams).

In 2023, LSU needed Skenes, Hurd, and Floyd to make it through, and got a heroic performance from Hurd in the final.

Most CWS games are lower scoring (in general) and you are going to need a Riley Cooper, Gavin Guidry, or a Nate Ackenhousen to make it through.

I’ll take 3 “aces” over bats any day in baseball.

live in another SEC team’s territory

Some of the posters did not get it, but most have a state with SEC opponent. As gorgeous as the state of North Carolina is, not a SEC school to hate on there.
I think they can make it, but will not win it unless another pitcher emerges. Need that third pitcher.

Golfer?
Florida fans can be obnoxious, but we’ve been beating up on them lately, so they are not vocal as usual.
Now that FSU has kicked our butt ... the CrimaNOLES have woken up.

I’d live wherever the golf is plentiful.
Id be thrilled if we made it that far.

Beloso (sp?) and Dugas were HUGE at the end of the season and in the ’23 CWS.
Pitching needs to get right and limit freebies. We will need a “supporting player(s)” like Brown or Fry or ________ to get hot and stay hot when we need it.
I have a friend who has worked the The Masters for 14 years and gets to play in May. He’s an 18 hdcp and he has broken 100 from members tees. PROBABLY had gimmies and drops, but I do not know. A screen shot of a 2023 scorecard shows the member yardage at 6250. Playable yardage, but when you add in the greens and the elevations … probably a very tough course for weekend warriors.
Just got my Edisons. Only played two rounds. Still adjusting, but i like them so far.
Yes, I understand that the $600 will not get me a new driver and fitting. That money will go towards it. May end up with the Mizuno 230 MAX for $300, mostly because I think I can use the same upgraded shaft from my current Mizuno.
I have 4 putters. OLD Anser blade, Odyssey 2-ball (OG), Bettinardi INOVIA 6, TaylorMade Spyder GT Rollback.
My birthday today, thank you. Was given a gift certificate from my kiddos and now I have $600 in my “golf envelope.”
Not sure what to get. Always wanting new driver, but don’t really need it. PING 440 MAX looks awesome.

What golf stuff are you guys spending the $600 on?
