This! I what replays and look at the DL specifically. They consumes two to three OLmen and allowed LBs and Edge to create havoc. It was not glamorous, but effective.

Totally agree. The MP20's came out in 2019. I had an opportunity to upgrade to the 245s,
but the data was not any better than what I currently hit.
IMO, getting fit with the the right shaft for your swing is essential.

Still playing my MP20 blend set and although I would LOVE to get newer clubs, I have found hat new technology does not make that big a difference for me.

Disagree.
A large bounce can effect the performance/contact of most weekend golfers.
Depending on which wedge you use, it can be challenging to hit off a tight lie without thinning a chip.
Multi-angled grinds (instead of the big rounded grind) can greatly reduce turf interaction and help consistent contact in a variety of lies.
One of the many reasons I switched to Edison wedges is the multi-angled grind and minimal bounce angles.
It has been a game saver for me.

I disagree ... to a point.
For a beginner, LESSONS are more important.
I learned with hand-me-down Spaulding clubs from my Dad.
Took lessons from a PGA instructor and was playing to a 10 hdcp in 2 years.
I played "good" clubs after that (Powerbuilt TPS irons and then Mizuno MP60s), but was not officially fitted until 2019.
Fitting will NOT help a bad swing or bad mechanics.
Yes, off-the-rack-clubs may magnify a flaw, but they are not the issue.
Get lessons and then discuss club types with your pro.

- Stickem' / adhesive sprays *USER TIP - Apply BEFORE you start sweating.
- Arm sleeves
- One that I got from GOLF Magazine, keep your cooler (or a cup) full of ice.
Grab a cube or two and hold them in your grip hand in between holes. Towel off to hit your drive. Hands are dryer!

So, maybe he has mental health/anger issues. Are we to hold that against him? I do NOT know enough about him. Yes, he screwed up in that locker room. Cheating? When? Where? What? I missed that.
Most of these guys are pretty nice. Even Sergio stopped and talked to me after a round at Bay Hill. He didn’t have to. I’m a nobody but he talked about the course and the conditions. It was cool.
They have their moments.

I currently have a 2006 Mizuno MP60 FliHi 3 hybrid/iron. It's my fairway finder.
Great club, but I'm hoping 2026 technology can give it a run for it's money.
You'd think 20 years of improvements would make a difference.
I did go to a fitter and tried the Mizuno 245 Pro FliHi and it was no better then my MP60. Crazy.
Any club suggestions? No 7-woods. :lol:
